The games end in the following results:

Lithuania 1 – 2 Romania
Romania desperately needed a win against Romania in their third group match in the UEFA Nations League and they managed to get one. The Romanians took the lead after 13 minutes, with Alexandru Chipciu finding the net from close range after a rebound. The Tricolours managed to defend their lead in the first half of the match, but the hosts gave fans some cheer in the second half. The Lithuanians gave their best to level the score and they managed to do so in the 90th minute, with Zulpa scoring the equalizer. When everybody thought that the two sides would share the spoils, Romania managed to score the winner, with Maxim Alexandru setting up the final score of the match with a cool finish inside the box. It has to be noted that Romania had 16 goal attempts (7 on target) during the match, meaning that their victory is well deserved.

13′ Alexandru Chipciu 0 – 1
90′ Arturas Zulpa 1 – 1
90 Alexandru Maxim 1 – 2

Austria 1 – 0 Northern Ireland
After suffering a 1-0 loss to Bosnia, Austria faced a must-win situation against Northern Ireland. Both sides failed to impress in the first half of the match and, as a result, no goals were scored in the first 45 minutes. The Austrians, though, were desperate to pick up all three points from the game and they adopted an attack-minded approach in the second half. The hosts eventually found the net after 71 minutes, with Premier League ace Marko Arnautovic scoring the opener. Austria then decided to defend their slim lead and they managed to do so. Taking everything into account, the Austrians’ win is well deserved as Northern Ireland had no more than one shot on target during the match. Das Team picked up vital three points from their third group game, but they need to be at their sharpest in the remainder of the UEFA Nations League if they are to clinch top position in the standings.

71′ Marko Arnautovic 1 – 0

Belgium 2 – 1 Switzerland
Belgium and Switzerland faced each other at King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels in the Group 2 derby. The Red Devils created several clear-cut opportunities to score in the first half, but Yannick Carrasco and Eden Hazard eventually failed to find the net. The hosts continued to press forward in the second half and after 58 minutes they finally broke the deadlock. Romelu Lukaku latched on an accurate pass deep inside the box from Thomas Meunier and beat the goalkeeper with a low shot in to the middle of the goal. However, 18 minutes later Mario Gavranovic gave Switzerland fans some cheer as he found the net from a close range to make it 1-1. However, Belgium had the last word in this Nations League clash as Romelu Lukaku proved his worth once again in the 84th minute, setting up the final score of the match (2-1).

58′ Romelu Lukaku 1 – 0
76′ Mario Gavranovic 1 – 1
84′ Romelu Lukaku 2 – 1
