Wolverhampton Wanderers to Win
Wolverhampton Wanderers – Southampton

The games end in the following results:

Arsenal 2 – 0 Watford
Despite failing to impress in Saturday’s clash against Watford, Arsenal did well to extend their wining run in the Premier League to five matches. The Gunners were struggling to break the deadlock in the first half of the game, but then Watford centre-back Cathcart helped the capital club take the lead. The slightly disoriented defender put the ball into his own net after 81 minutes, with Unai Emery’s troops finally taking the lead. Two minutes later Arsenal doubled their lead, with Mesut Ozil beating the goalkeeper with a shot into the bottom right corner. Roberto Pereyra and Abdoulaye Doucoure then missed good chances to score a consolation goal for the Hornets and, as a result, 2:0 was the final score of the match. As previously mentioned, the Gunners failed to impress in the clash against Watford, but they eventually gave fans yet another reason for celebration.

81′ Craig Cathcart 1 – 0
83′ Mesut Ozil 2 – 0

Huddersfield Town 0 – 2 Tottenham Hotspur
Huddersfield Town hosted Tottenham at the John Smith’s Stadium on day 7 of the new Premier League campaign. As expected, Spurs took the lead after 25 minutes, with the team’s top scorer Harry Kane finding the net from inside the box. Kane doubled Tottenham’s lead nine minutes later as he scored from the penalty spot. The capital club then decided to slow the tempo down and they managed to defend their two-goal lead without any difficulties. It has to be noted, though, that the Terriers missed a couple of good chances to score the consolation goal, but the likes of Isaac Mbenza and Chris Lowe failed to find the net in the 71st and the 79th minute respectively. Taking everything into account, Tottenham wanted this win more than Huddersfield Town, who remained in the danger zone in the Premier League standings.

25′ Harry Kane 0 – 1
34′ Harry Kane 0 – 2

Wolverhampton Wanderers 2 – 0 Southampton
Wolverhampton continue to impress in the 2018/2019 Premier League season. After holding Manchester United to a draw at Old Trafford, the Wolves defeated Southampton at their Molineux Stadium, but this game was anything but a walk in the park for the hosts. The newcomers were struggling to break the deadlock in the first half of the match, but they never gave up. Wolverhampton continued to dominate the game in the second half, with the team finally scoring the opener after 79 minutes. Ivan Cavaleiro opened the scoring for the Wolves and eight minutes later former Celta Vigo defender Jonny set up the final score of the match. Matt Doherty teed up Jonny inside the box, who kept his cool and scored low into the middle of the goal. Wolverhampton’s victory is well deserved, but it has to be noted that Southampton had 17 goal attempts in the 2-0 loss to the Wolves.

79′ Ivan Cavaleiro 1 – 0
87′ Jonny Castro 2 – 0
