The games end in the following results:

Olympique Lyon 3 – 0 Monaco
Lyon were considered big favourites in Sunday’s football match against Monaco and they managed to prove their worth on the field. Les Gones dominated the game from the first whistle and after only six minutes Houssem Aouar they managed to break the deadlock. Lyon were not satisfied with such a slim lead and 11 minutes before the half-time break they doubled their lead. At the beginning of the second half Monaco midfielder Golovin was sent-off for roughing, which made Lyon’s job easier. Les Gones put the icing on the cake after 59 minutes, with Mendy scoring the third goal for the hosts. Taking everything into account, Lyon’s win is well deserved as they had 21 goal attempts during the match (11 on target). Monaco, on the other hand, had only 4 shots in the Groupama Stadium clash and, as a result, they returned home empty-handed.

6′ Houssem Aouar 1 – 0
34′ Nabil Fekir 2 – 0
59′ Ferland Mendy 3 – 0

Roma 3 – 2 Genoa
Thanks to Krzysztof Piatek’s goal Genoa took the lead in Sunday’s football game against Roma at Stadio Olimpico, but their celebration did not last long. Federico Fazio controlled the ball from the free kick inside the 6-yard box and unleashed a stunning strike into the middle of the goal to make it 1-1 after 31 minutes. However, just two minutes later the visitors were back in front, with Oscar Hijemark burring the ball into the back of the net. Roma decided to stick to their attacking style of play and on the stroke of half time they managed to level the score thanks to Justin Kluivert’s goal. The Giallorossi went all guns blazing at the Rossoblu after the half-time break and 14 minutes into the second half Bryan Cristante scored the third goal for the hosts. The Romans managed to defend their slim lead in the remainder of the match and picked up all three points from the game.

17′ Krzysztof Piatek 0 -1
31′ Federico Fazio 1 – 1
33′ Oscar Hiljemark 1 – 2
45′ Justin Kluiver 2 – 2
59′ Bryan Cristiante 3 – 2

Cagliari 0 – 1 Napoli
Cagliari and Napoli faced each other at Sardegna Arena on Sunday evening. Even though the Neapolitans were considered hot favourites to win the clash, no goals were scored in the first half. Carlo Ancelotti then decided to go all-out attack, with Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon coming as substitutes. The Partenepei missed a couple of clear-cut opportunities to score, but when everybody expected that the two teams would play out a goalless draw in Sardinia, Arkadiusz Milik broke the deadlock. The Poland international took the free kick from the edge of the box, sending the ball into the top right corner. Milik scored a stunning goal and helped Napoli pick up all three points from the match. You should bear in mind that Carlo Ancelotti’s team had 13 goal attempts in the 1-0 victory over the Rossoblu on Matchday 16.

90′ Arek Milik 0 – 1
