The games end in the following results:

Netherlands 3 – 1 Bulgaria
Netherlands desperately needed a win against Bulgaria and they managed to get one. Brighton midfielder Davy Propper opened the scoring for the hosts after seven minutes and ten minutes later Bulgaria attacker Georgi Kostadinov missed a clear-cut chance to score the equalizing goal. The Oranje doubled their lead in the 67th minute of the match, with Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben easily burring the ball low into the middle of the goal. However, the Bulgarians battled back as Ivelin Popov found the net for the hosts in the 69th minute. The hosts then decided to slow down the tempo of the game, but ten minutes before the final whistle Davy Propper scored his second goal of the match and put the game to bed. Netherlands totally deserved to pick up all three points from the match, but they will have to be at their sharpest in the remainder of the 2018 World Cup qualifiers if they are to book their place at the showpiece tournament in Russia.

7′ Davy Propper 1 – 0
57′ Arjen Robben 2 – 0
69′ Georgi Kostadinov 2 – 1
80′ Davy Propper 3 – 1

Greece 1 – 2 Belgium
Greece and Belgium faced each other at Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in the Group H derby. The Greeks failed to impress in a goalless draw with Estonia and it is no surprise they were considered underdogs in the clash against the Red Devils. However, the hosts were a better side in the first half of the match, with Konstantinos Stafyllidis hitting the right post after 18 minutes. However, the Roberto Martinez’s men produced a much better performance in the second half and they broke the deadlock in the 70th minute, with Jan Vertonghen scoring the opener from the edge of the box. However, three minutes later Jose Zeca scored the equalizer for the hosts and many people expected that the two sides would share the spoils in Piraeus. Only one minute later, though, Belgium attacker Romelu Lukaku made it 2-1 and his close-ranger header helped the visitors pick up all three points from the match.

70′ Jan Vertonghen 0 – 1
73′ Zeca 1 – 1
74′ Romelu Lukaku 1 – 2

Hungary 0 – 1 Portugal
Hungary welcome Portugal at Groupama Arena Budapest in the 2018 World Cup qualifier. The Hungarians were desperate to pick up all three points from the match, but Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. proved to be a big catch for Bernd Storck’s troops. Portugal adopted an attack-minded approach against Hungary as they are eager to climb to top position in Group B and they managed to turn their dominance into goal three minutes into the second half. AC Milan summer signing Andre Silva scored the winner for A Selecao following Cristiano Ronaldo’s assist. It has to be noted, though, that Hungary attacker Tamas Priskin was sent off after 30 minutes after his horrific challenge on Portugal defender Pepe. Portugal recorded a very important win in the Groupama Arena clash, but they are still sitting in second place in their 2018 World Cup qualifying group.

48′ Andre Silva 0 – 1
