Our prediction for this Africa Cup of Nations 2019 match:
All eyes will be on Stade Alphonse Massamba-Debat when Congo and Congo DR face each other in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier. Congo suffered a 2-1 loss to Liberia in their last group game, but they are still in the race for a place at the showpiece tournament in Cameroon. This has to go down as a must-win game for the Red Devils and we predict that they are going to pick up all three points from Sunday’s football match. Congo DR, on the other hand, kicked off their Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign with a win over Congo and that is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the trip to Brazzavile. Both sides are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in Sunday’s clash and we predict that both sides are going to find the net in the Stade Alphonse Massamba-Debat clash.
Highlighted Player (Cedric Bakambu):

Cedric Bakambu is considered one of the best African strikers. He was a French youth international and he played for les Tricolores at the 2010 UEFA U19 European Championship. France defeated Spain in the final of the tournament and that is regarded as Bakambu’s biggest success, speaking of his international career.
However, despite playing for France youth teams, Cedric Bakambu decided to represent DR Congo at senior level and he made his debut for the Congolese national team against Cameroon. He scored his first goal for DR Congo in a 2-1 win over Angola on 26 March, 2016. Speaking of his club career, the pacey attacker played for Sochaux from 2010 to 2014 and on 1 September, 2014 he moved to Bursaspor.
After scoring 13 goals in 27 league appearances for the Turkish outfit, Bakambu signed a five-year deal with La Liga side Villarreal on 19 August, 2015 and he has been playing for the Yellow Submarine ever since. The Congolese striker made his Villarreal debut on 23 August, 21015 in a 1-1 draw with Real Betis.
Highlighted Team (DR Congo):

Democratic Republic of Congo made no more than one appearances at the World Cup finals. DR Congo qualified for the major tournament in 1974 and they were playing under the name of Zaire back then. Zaire failed to impress at the showpiece tournament in West Germany as they were beaten by the likes of Scotland, Brazil and Yugoslavia in the group stages.
The Leopards suffered a heavy 9-0 loss to Yugoslavia in Gelsenkirchen and that is considered the team’s biggest defeat. DR Congo (Zaire) won two African Cup of Nations titles, with the team lifting the prestigious trophies in 1968 and 1974.
It has to be noted that the team won the bronze medal at both the 1998 and the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations. DR Congo play their home games in sky-blue shirts with red sleeves, while the colour of their away kit is white. Dieumerci Mbokani is the team’s most notable player.
