Our match prediction:
David faces Goliath in Ciudad de Cordoba. Argentina will be looking to build on a back-to-back wins over Colombia and Chile when they take on Bolivia, who are not regarded as good travel-ers. The Bolivians showed character in the game against Colombia, but they eventually suffered a 3-2 loss to los Cafeteros in front of home fans. On the other hand, Leo Messi did not mark his return to the national team with a goal, but, no doubt, the South American giants look much sharper in front of goal with the Barcelona ace in the starting line-up. Gerardo Martino’s troops head into Wednesday’s game full of confidence and seeing that they outclassed Bolivia 7-0 and 5-0 in previous two meetings between the two sides, we predict that the hosts will record a rou-tine win over La Verde in the upcoming qualifier. Kun Aguero and Leo Messi both scored a brace in the 7-0 triumph over Bolivia in September 2015.
Highligted Player (Aguero):
Sergio Aguero was born on 2 June, 1988 in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. Sergio’s nickname is Kun and he used to play for Independiente and Atletico Madrid in the past. The Manchester City attacker has won two Premier League trophies with the Etihad Stadium outfit (2011/2012, 2013/2014) and he played in the Champions League semi-final with the Citizens in the 2015/2016 season. However, Real Madrid proved to be a big catch for Kun Aguero and his teammates in the semis of the elite competition. The Argentine forward won the Olympic Gold Medal with the national team in 2008, while lifting the FIFA U-20 World Cup trophy on two occasions (2005, 2007). Aguero scored 24 goals in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign, but that did not help Manuel Pellegrini’s troops win the national championship. Kun was married to Diego Maradona’s daughter Gianinna, but the couple separated in 2012. Giannina gave birth to their son Benjamin in 2009.
