Our match prediction:
Athletic Bilbao take on fellow La Liga side Sevilla in the Europa League quarter-finals first leg. The title holders eliminated Basel in the last 16, but Unai Emery’s troops will have to be at their sharpest if they are to grab something from Thursday’s football game against the Lions. Over the years Athletic Bilbao have turned their San Mames Barria into a real fortress and we predict that the Basques will extend their goal-scoring run in front of home fans. Sevilla have been struggling on the travels this season and given that the defending champions have yet to record an away win in the 2015/2016 La Liga campaign, we predict that the visitors will return home empty-handed. In previous five meetings between the two teams at San Mames Barria the Lions emerged triumphant and we believe that the history is going to repeat itself.
