Our football match prediction:
Atlanta United and Orlando City square off against each other at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday evening. The Five Stripes have been producing fine performances in MLS in their debut season and they are a real force to be reckoned with at home. Tata Martino’s men are determined to finish the campaign in top six in the Eastern Conference, but they will have to be at their sharpest in the remainder of the season if they are to book their place in the play-offs. Orlando City, on the other hand, have been playing above expectations this season and it is no surprise they are regarded as underdogs in Saturday’s football match against Atlanta United. The Lions did defeat DC United at the weekend, but the team obviously struggle at the back and we believe that there is a big value in betting on Tata Martino’s team.
Highlighted Player (Carlos Carmona):
Carlos Carmona is a professional footballer who plays for Atalanta as a midfielder. Carmona played for Coquimbo Unido from 2004 to 2007 and then he moved to O’Higgins. However, it has to be noted that he made no more than 17 appearances for the club during his one-season spell. In the summer of 2008 the Chilean footballer moved to Reggina and he made his Serie A debut on 14 September against Torino. Carmona made 32 league appearances for the club in the 2008/2009 Serie A campaign and he remained at Stadio Oreste Granillo for one more season. In 2010 Carlos Carmona signed a deal with Atalanta and he has been playing for Orobici ever since. The Atalanta midfielder has 20 caps for Chile U20 and he made his debut for the senior team against Spain on 19 November, 2008. Carlos Carmona was named in Chile 2015 Copa America squad, but he was eventually forced to withdraw with injury.
Highlighted Team (Orlando City):
Orlando City are a member of the Eastern Conference in Major League Soccer. The Lions have been participating in the major league since 2015 and they host their rivals at Orlando City Stadium. The venue was opened in February, 2017 and the construction of the stadium cost $155 million. Orlando City finished the 2015 MLS season in seventh place in the Eastern Conference and they failed to make it to the play-offs in the 2016 season as well (8th place). Brazilian ace Kaka is undisputedly the club’s most famous player and the former Real Madrid and Milan man became the highest-paid player in MLS history. His base salary was $6.6 million per year and it has to be noted that the Brazilian superstar found the net on his Orlando City debut against FC Dallas (friendly). Orlando City’s home kit is violet, while they wear white and violet shirts and white socks on the travels. The club’s official mascot is Kingston the Lion.
