Our prediction for this Austria Bundesliga match:
Red Bull Arena will host Wednesday’s football match between Salzburg and Rapid Wien, who face each other at the start of the Austrian Bundesliga championship round. Thanks to LASK’s six-point deduction, Salzburg are leading the chase for the title, and a win over Rapid Wien will see them move one step closer to defending their title. Norway rising star Erling Haland left the club in the summer transfer window, and in his absence Patson Daka will be the man to watch in the home team.
The capital club, on the other hand, are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against Salzburg, but grabbing something from the Red Bull Arena clash is easier said than done. The Red Bulls are a real force to be reckoned with at home, and we predict that they will restart the season in style.
Highlighted Player (Zlatko Junuzovic):

Born in Serbia on 26 September 1987, Zlatko Junuzovic moved to Austria at the age of five and he eventually decided to represent his adopted country at international level. The central midfielder made a name for himself playing for Grazer AK, Austria Karnten and Austria Wien, but it was a move to Werder Bremen that earned him worldwide recognition.
Ever since 2012, Junuzovic has been one of Bundesliga’s leading midfielders, scoring a number of goals from set pieces and producing countless assists for his teammates, and it is a real wonder how he hasn’t joined a bigger club.
Capable of operating as a defensive midfielder, but much more dangerous as an attacking midfielder, Junuzovic has been a key player for Austria for several years now and he was in fine form as Das Team secured their place at the Euro 2016 finals. The highly rated midfielder has been a member of the national team for over ten years and chances are he will not be retiring any time soon.
Highlighted Team (Rapid Vienna):

Rapid Wien are considered the most successful club in the history of Austrian football. In 2008 the capital club won their 32th domestic title and in 1995 they clinched their 15th Austrian Cup trophy. Die Grun-Weissen were founded back in 1898 as Erster Wiener Arbeiter-Fussball-Club and one year later the club was renamed to Sportklub Rapid Wien.
In 1904 the club’s colours were changed to green and white and they have been wearing green and white shirts ever since. In 1985 Rapid made it to the Cup Winners Cup final and it has to be noted that they participated in the final competition in 1996 as well. Famous German footballer Lothar Matthaus was in charge of the team between September 2001 and May 2002, but he failed to record a good result with the Weststadion outfit.
Weststadion has been the home ground of Rapid Wien since 16 July, 2016 and you should bear in mind that the capacity of the stadium is 28 000. Rapid’s fiercest rivals are Austria Wien.
