Our football match prediction:
All eyes will be on BayArena when Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich face each other in the Bundesliga derby. Bayer were more than unfortunate not to grab something from Saturday’s football game against Leipzig as they conceded a goal in the dying seconds of the match. Tayfun Korkut’s troops have slim chances of booking their place in the Europa League, but, no doubt, they will fight tooth and nail in Saturday’s derby against the title holders. The mighty Bavarians will take on Bayer following the Champions League clash against Real Madrid, meaning that tired legs could prove to be a big problem for the visitors in the BayArena showdown. Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are ten points clear of second-placed Leipzig in the Bundesliga standings, meaning that they would not be too disappointed with one point from the game. Robert Lewandowski proved his worth in a 4-1 win over Borussia Dortmund and we predict that he is going to prove a handful for the opposition defenders.
Highligted Player (Hernandez):
Javier Hernandez or Chicharito is a 27-year-old striker who plays for German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. He began his professional career in 2006 playing for the Mexican club Guadalajara. His first break came in 2010, ahead of the FIFA World Cup, when he became the first Mexican player to join the English Premier League side Manchester United. He was very effective at United endearing himself to the fans with some crucial goals. Chicharito played for Real Madrid in 2014-15 season on loan and had limited success with them. But he revived his career with a move to Leverkusen in 2015 with whom he has regained his prolific scoring record. Hernandez carries his prolific form to national colors too. Having made his senior national debut in 2009, Chicharito has 43 goals from 80 games for the national team. He is the second highest goal scorer of all-time for the Mexico national team.
Highlighted Team (Bayern Munich):
Over the years Bayern Munich have established themselves as one of the most successful European clubs. The Stern des Sudens (Star of the South) are the dominant force in German football and it has to be noted that the Bavarians clinched their 26th Bundesliga title in 2016. Bayern Munich have won 18 German Cup trophies, while winning the Champions League (European Cup) five times. The German giants clinched the Intercontinental Cup in 1976 and 2001, while lifting the FIFA Club World Cup trophy in 2013. Bayern Munich was founded in 1900 by eleven football players and their leader was Franz John. The Bavarians host their rivals at Allianz Arena (75,000), the stadium that was built in 2005. Fellow Bavarian sides TSV 1860 Munchen 1860 and Nurnberg are regarded as Bayern Munich’s fiercest rivals, but the rivalry between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern is big as well. The likes of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Franz Beckenbauer, Lothar Matthaus, Oliver Kahn, Gerd Muller and Giovane Elber are famous footballers who played for Bayern Munich in the past.
