Our football match prediction:
By beating ten-man Schalke at Veltins Arena Bayer Leverkusen climbed to eighth place in the Bundesliga standings, but Roger Schmidt’s men are certainly hungry for more success. Bayer aim to move a little closer to the Champions League places and they are regarded as hot favourites to emerge triumphant in Sunday’s football game against Ingolstadt. Leverkusen did well to crush Monaco (3-0) in their last home game in the Champions League and that is certainly giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Ingolstadt. Maik Walpurgis’ team did remarkably well to beat high-flying Leipzig at the weekend, but beating Bayer on the road is easier said than done. This has to go down as a must-win match for the hosts and we predict that Roger Schmidt’s charges will record their fourth home win of the season on Sunday afternoon. Stefan Kiessling scored the winner against Schalke and he is widely expected to start up front, alongside Javier Herhandez Chicharito.
Highlighted Player (Admir Mehmedi):
Born in FYR Macedonia, Admir Mehmedi moved to Switzerland with his parents at the age of 2, and no wonder he decided to represent the Rossocrociati at international level. The forward made a name for himself at FC Zurich, scoring 19 goals in 84 league outings to catch the eye of bigger clubs. Mehmedi surprisingly opted to join Dynamo Kiev in January 2012, but he would soon leave war-torn Ukraine, signing a permanent deal with Bundesliga outfit Freiburg after impressing while on season-long loan. As Freiburg got relegated to the second division, the forward was given a chance to remain in the top flight by Bayer Leverkusen, and he grabbed it with both hands despite knowing that it would not be easy for him to secure regular playing time. In spite of the lack of first team action at Bay Arena, Mehmedi remained a part of the Switzerland national team, mostly due to his versatility and being able to operate on either wing or as second striker. He has so far made over 40 outings for Nati, making four appearances and scoring one goal at the 2014 World Cup.
Highlighted Team (Ingolstadt):
FC Ingolstdadt is a German football club from the city Ingolstadt which is located in the Bayern region. The club was founded in 2004 after a fusion between ESV Ingolstadt and MTV Ingolstadt. In the season 2014/2015 Ingolstadt managed to qualify for the Bundesliga for the first time in the clubs history. FC Ingolstadt plays it’s home games in the Audi-Sportpark stadium which holds a capacity of 15 500 seats and is one of the smallest stadiums in the highest German football division. The club colours of Ingolstadt are red and black which is a combination of the ESV Ingolstadt and MTV Ingolstadt kit. Ingolstadt is known as Die Schanzer by it’s fans. In the club history Ingolstadt didn’t manage to win any prizes. The bigest achievement of the club was on Sunday 17th of May 2015 where the club got promoted to the Bundesliga after beating Red Bull Leipzig and got crowned as the champion of the 2.Bundesliga. The achievements of Ingolstadt are very impressive for a club that is only active since 2004. Currently Ingolstadt doesn’t have any very known players. Manager Ralph-Hasenhuttl does have a legendary status in Ingolstadt being the manager who promoted his club to the Bundesliga.
