Our football match prediction:
Bayer Leverkusen and Leipzig face each other at BayArena in what is expected to be the most entertaining game of Saturday’s program. Bayer have been in a fine form of late as they recorded back-to-back wins over the likes of Wolfsburg and Darmstadt in previous two games in Bundesliga. Roger Schmidt’s men defeated Tottenham in the Champions League as well and they are certainly brimming with confidence ahead of the visit of Leipzig. The Red Bulls continue to impress in the German top flight as they extended their winning run to five matches against Mainz. Both Bayer Leverkusen and Leipzig are likely to go for a win in Friday’s football match and we predict that fans will see goals galore at BayArena. However, seeing that Bayer have been producing scintillating performances in all competitions in recent weeks, there is every chance the hosts will emerge triumphant in Friday’s game.
Highligted Player (Mehmedi):
Born in FYR Macedonia, Admir Mehmedi moved to Switzerland with his parents at the age of 2, and no wonder he decided to represent the Rossocrociati at international level. The forward made a name for himself at FC Zurich, scoring 19 goals in 84 league outings to catch the eye of bigger clubs. Mehmedi surprisingly opted to join Dynamo Kiev in January 2012, but he would soon leave war-torn Ukraine, signing a permanent deal with Bundesliga outfit Freiburg after impressing while on season-long loan. As Freiburg got relegated to the second division, the forward was given a chance to remain in the top flight by Bayer Leverkusen, and he grabbed it with both hands despite knowing that it would not be easy for him to secure regular playing time. In spite of the lack of first team action at Bay Arena, Mehmedi remained a part of the Switzerland national team, mostly due to his versatility and being able to operate on either wing or as second striker. He has so far made over 40 outings for Nati, making four appearances and scoring one goal at the 2014 World Cup.
Highlighted Team (RB Leipzig):
Leipzig are a professional football club founded in 2009. Die Bullen (The Bulls) were unbeaten in the 2012/2013 Regionalliga Nordost and, as a result, they secured promotion to the 3. Liga. After finishing the 2013/2014 3. Liga campaign in second place in the standings, Leipzig were promoted to the 2. Bundesliga and they competed in the German second tier for two seasons. Despite suffering a loss to Karlsruher on the last day of the 2015/2016 2. Bundesliga campaign, die Bullen secured promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time ever. Leipzig play their home games at Red Bull Arena (42,959) and it has to be noted that the stadium was opened in 1954. Die Bullen wear white shirts and red shorts while their away kit is blue and yellow. Ralph Hasenhuttl was appointed as the team’s manager at the end of the 2015/2016 season and you should know that the likes of Ralf Rangnick, Achim Beierlorzer, Alexander Zorniger, Peter Pacult, Tomas Oral and Tino Vogel were in charge of the team in the past as well.
