Our football match prediction:
Bayern Munich and Augsburg face each other at Allianz Arena in the Bavarian derby on day 12 of the new Bundesliga campaign. The title holders proved their worth in a 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in their last league fixture and it has to be noted that they extended their winning run in the national championship to four games. Jupp Heynckess obviously helped FCB regain a much-needed confidence and we predict that his men will give fans yet another reason for celebration this weekend. Augsburg have been producing fine performances in Bundesliga this season, but they face an uphill task in Saturday’s football match against Bayern Munich. Arjen Robben produced a thrilling performance in the 3-1 win over the Millionaires and the experienced winger is likely to prove a handful for the opposition defenders. Taking everything into account, the league leaders will retain top position in the standings.
Highlighted Player (Robben):
Arjen Robben is a professional footballer who started his senior career at Groningen. In 2002 he joined PSV and after making 56 league appearances for the Dutch outfit, the pacey winger signed a deal with Chelsea in 2004. The Dutch ace helped the Blues win two Premier League trophies (2004/2005, 2005/2006) and he scored 15 goals in 67 league appearances for the capital club. Arjen Robben played for Real Madrid from 2007 to 2009 and he scored 11 goals in 50 appearances in La Liga. However, the club chiefs were not satisfied with his performances and they decided to sell him to Bayern Munich in 2009. Joining the Bundesliga giants was probably the best decision of his career as he has been winning titles with the German outfit year by year. Robben clinched his fifth Bundesliga trophy with Bayern Munich in the 2015/2016 season and in 2013 he scored the winning goal for the Bavarians in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund. The Bayern Munich star was born in Bedum, Netherlands on 23 January, 1984.
Highlighted Team (Augsburg):
Augsburg are a German football club founded in Augsburg, Bavaria back in 1907. Die Fuggerstadter play in German Bundesliga and with 12,200 members they are regarded as the largest football club in Bavaria. Augsburg wear white shirts and they host their rivals at WWK ARENA. The capacity of the stadium is 30,660 and it has been the home of Augsburg since 2009. Augsburg won the Schwaben Cup 13 times and it has to be noted that they were promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time in 2011. The club qualified for the Europa League 2015/2016 group stages and thanks to a 3-1 win over Partizan in Belgrade they booked their place in the last 32. However, Liverpool proved to be a big catch for the German outfit in the Europa League knockout stages. Die Fuggerstadter’s main rivals are TSV 1860 Munich and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other.
