Our football match prediction:
Buoyed by a hard-fought win over Atletico Madrid in Tuesday’s Champions League game, Bayern Munich welcome Wolfsburg at their Allianz Arena on day 14 of the new Bundesliga campaign. The title holders aim to overtake Leipzig in top position in the standings and, no doubt, coach Carlo Ancelotti is going to field the best possible side against Wolves. Bayern Munich defeated the likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Mainz in previous two league fixtures and we predict that the reigning champions are going to extend their winning run in the German top flight. Wolfsburg have been playing below expectations this season and seeing that they are only two points clear of the relegation zone ahead of the trip to Munich, the underdogs are unlikely to spoil Bayern’s party at Allianz Arena. Carlo Ancelotti’s men seem to be on top of their game at the moment and we are positive that they will pick up all three points from Saturday’s football match.
Highlighted Player (Philipp Lahm):
Philipp Lahm is a German footballer who plays for Bayern Munich as a full back. Lahm is capable of producing fine performance as a defensive midfielder as well and, no doubt, he is considered one of the best footballers in the history of German football. The Bayern Munich defender won the 2014 FIFA World Cup with Joachim Low’s troops and in the 2015/2016 season he clinched his eighth Bundesliga trophy with the mighty Bavarians. Philipp Lahm won the Champions League trophy with Bayern Munich in 2013 and he participated in the final of the elite competition in 2010 and 2012 as well (runners-up). The German star was born on 11 November, 1983 in Munich and it has to be noted that he is involved in a number of charity campaigns. He is well known for his contribution against intolerance in sports. Philipp Lahm’s contract with Bayern Munich expires on 30 June, 2018.
Highlighted Team (Wolfsburg):
Wolfsburg are a German football club founded in the aftermath of the World War II (1945). Die Wolfe (The Wolves) wear green and white shirts and they play their home games at Volkswagen Arena. The capacity of the stadium is 30,000 and it was opened on 13 December, 2002. It is well known that German car manufacturer Volkswagen are the club’s main sponsors. Wolfsburg won the Bundesliga trophy in 2009 and the likes of Edin Dzeko, Grafite and Zvjezdan Misimovic were part of the club’s golden generation. You should bear in mind that Grafite and Dzeko scored 54 goals between each other in the 2008/2009 Bundesliga campaign and that the team clinched the trophy thanks to a 5-1 win over Werder Bremen on 23 May, 2009. Die Wolfe won the German Cup trophy in 2015, with the team beating star-studded Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in the title game. Wolfsburg are a team that has no bitter rivals in German football.
