Our match prediction:
Borussia M’gladbach have experienced all sorts of problems after the winter break, suffering no fewer than three defeats in six league fixtures, but they have somehow managed to hold on to the final Champions League berth. The fourth-place in the standings though is in danger with Mainz, Leverkusen and Schalke all breathing down their necks, meaning die Fohlen will want to return to winning ways after sharing spoils with Augsburg on the road. Borussia did record back to back wins over Eintracht Frankfurt and Koln at home, so they look a good bet to extend the run in midweek. Arriving at Borussia Park will be Stuttgart, a team that impressed after the winter break, winning five straight matches to all but secure Bundesliga survival. Nevertheless, it would appear as though the bright run has come to an end, with the Swabians losing at home to rock-bottom Hannover. With the visitors no longer able to ride the wave of confidence, we predict a fairly comfortable win for die Fohlen.
