Our football match prediction:
Darmstadt did remarkably well to put an end to their eight-match winless run in Bundesliga. Die Lilien played out a goalless draw with Borussia M’gladbach in their first game of the new year, but they remained in the last position in the standings. The rock-bottom team are desperate to grab something from Saturday’s football match against Koln, but you should bear in mind that the hosts failed to score in previous five league fixtures. Darmstadt obviously struggle in front of goal and we are not tempted to put our money on the relegation strugglers this time out. Koln shared the spoils with Mainz (0-0) at the weekend and, taking everything into account, a low-scoring affair appears on the horizon. The Billy Goats are not regarded as good travelers, but they did well to defeat the likes of Schalke and Borussia M’gladbach on the road earlier this season and we predict that they will give fans some cheer on Saturday afternoon.
Highlighted Player (Dominik Stroh-Engel):
Dominik Stroh-Engel was born on 27 November, 1985 and he started his youth career at Bublingshausen. He played for Burgsolms during his youth career as well and in 2003 he joined SC Waldgirmes. Two years later he signed a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt, but he mostly played for the reserve team between 2005 and 2007. After spending several seasons at Wehen Wiesbaden and Babelsberg, Dominik Stroh-Engel moved to SV Darmstadt 98 at the end of the 2012/2013 season. The German attacker made 34 league appearances for Darmstadt in the 2013/2014 season, scoring no less than 27 goals in the German third division. He helped the club move to 2. Bundesliga, but he was not as successful in the 2014/2015 season, netting just nine goals in 33 appearances for die Lillien. Anyhow, Darmstadt secured promotion to the German elite division, but it has to be noted that Stroh-Engel failed to find the net in the 2015/2016 Bundesliga campaign. Dominik wears number 9 on his shirt.
