Our football match prediction:
Saturday’s football match at Commerzbank-Arena pits together Eintracht Frankfurt and Augsburg. Die Adler desperately needed a win against Borussia M’gladbach at the weekend and they managed to get one. Beating die Fohlen on the road is easier said than done and, no doubt, the victory gave Eintracht footballers a confidence boost. Niko Kovac’s men are after their first home game of the season and seeing that their next rivals Augsburg are not regarded as good travelers, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. Manuel Baum’s men rolled over Koln (3-0) at the weekend, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in Saturday’s clash against Koln. In their last meeting in Frankfurt die Adler emerged triumphant (3-1) and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself. Augsburg attacker Alfred Finbogason scored a hat-trick against Koln, meaning that the opposition defenders should have him at bay.
Highlighted Player (Fabian):
Marco Fabian is a 26-year-old midfielder who plays for German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. This attacking midfielder has started his youth career at Guadalajara before making his senior professional debut with the Mexican club in 2007. Over eight seasons with them, Fabian became a regular and scored more than 50 goals for them. He moved to Eintracht Frankfurt in late 2015. Fabian represented Mexico across various youth levels before finally graduating to the senior team. He earned his first senior cap in 2012 and played his first major tournament with the senior team at the 2013 Gold Cup. He was one of the revelations for Mexico in that tournament with three goals and equal number of assists. Fabian has 25 national caps to his name and six goals to his credit so far. Often regarded for his pace and great long range shots, Fabian has a 2014 FIFA Puskas Award nomination to his credit.
Highlighted Team (Augsburg):
Augsburg are a German football club founded in Augsburg, Bavaria back in 1907. Die Fuggerstadter play in German Bundesliga and with 12,200 members they are regarded as the largest football club in Bavaria. Augsburg wear white shirts and they host their rivals at WWK ARENA. The capacity of the stadium is 30,660 and it has been the home of Augsburg since 2009. Augsburg won the Schwaben Cup 13 times and it has to be noted that they were promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time in 2011. The club qualified for the Europa League 2015/2016 group stages and thanks to a 3-1 win over Partizan in Belgrade they booked their place in the last 32. However, Liverpool proved to be a big catch for the German outfit in the Europa League knockout stages. Die Fuggerstadter’s main rivals are TSV 1860 Munich and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other.
