Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Fortuna Dusseldorf will be looking to put an end to their three-game losing run in the Bundesliga when they host Mainz at their Merkur Spiel-Arena on Matchday 8. Key player from the last season Dodi Lukebakio has been sorely missed in the first half of the 2019/2020 Bundesliga campaign and it is no wonder Friedhelm Funkel’s troops are seen as one of the main candidates to suffer relegation to the German second tier.
Die Nullfunfer, on the other hand, quickly bounced back from back-to-back defeats to the likes of Schalke and Wolfsburg, with the team beating newcomers Paderborn on the road on Matchday 8. Mainz are eager to escape the danger zone in the Bundesliga standings and we predict that they are going to take advantage of the fact that Fortuna Dusseldorf suffered a dip in form in the German elite division.
