Our football match prediction:
Buoyed by a hard-fought win over Wolfsburg, Freiburg welcome Mainz at their Schwarzwald-Stadion. Christian Streich’s team retain their spot in the top half of the standings and they will be looking to give fans yet another reason for celebration when they take on Mainz on Matchday 28. Freiburg are on a three-game winless run at home, but they are definitely capable of putting an end to the negative trend. Die Mainzer suffered a loss in each of their last four league fixtures and, no doubt, they are desperate to return to winning ways in Bundesliga. However, considering that the visitors head into Saturday’s football game with the lack of confidence, we predict that the hosts will pick up all three points from the match. It has been seven years since Freiburg recorded their last win over Mainz in the national championship, but we would not be surprised if they put an end to the negative trend.
