Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Even though Bayern were struggling in the last few rounds, they are travelling to Mainz confident of getting back on track after they defeated Wolfsburg 3:0 in the last round. However, the Coface Arena has been somewhat of a fortress for Mainz this season with their fans still to witness their team being defeated there. Out of the four games they played at home so far, they won two and drew two. In fact, they only brought one point back from their travels. The Munich team are going away for the fourth time this season, having so far recorded two victories and one defeat. Bayern are sitting fourth in the table at the moment. Before their win the last round, they had two defeats and a draw. Mainz has a chance of another home triumph here knowing Bayern have only one win in their last five matches in all competitions. However, all things considered, this looks like it will be an entertaining game with a few goals and will probably end in a draw.

Highlighted Player (Jean-Philippe Gbamin):

Gbamin had spells with lower league clubs US Saint-Quentin Blessy and Aire-sur-la-Lys, before he joined RC Lens in 2007. The Ivorian footballer was born in San Pedro, Ivory Coast, in 1995 and, like most of Ivorian players, he tested his luck in France. During his stay in the second team, Jean-Philippe Gbamin impressed the club officials, which resulted in him braking into the first team during the 2013/14 Ligue 2 campaign.
The 22-year-old moved to Mainz 05 in 2016 after making 91 appearances for RC Lens. The Ivorian international is capable of playing at the heart of defense and the base of midfield. During the first two seasons, Gbamin has featured in 55 league games. His good performances caught the eye of Arsenal officials, but the German side rejected a record deal from the Premier League giants in order to keep one of their best players in the club.
Meanwhile, Jean-Philippe Gbamin signed a new four-year contract with Mainz. He played for France at the youth level, but he decided to represent Ivory Coast on senior level.
Highlighted Team (Bayern Munich):

Over the years Bayern Munich have established themselves as one of the most successful European clubs. The Stern des Sudens (Star of the South) are the dominant force in German football and it has to be noted that the Bavarians clinched their 26th Bundesliga title in 2016. Bayern Munich have won 18 German Cup trophies, while winning the Champions League (European Cup) five times.
The German giants clinched the Intercontinental Cup in 1976 and 2001, while lifting the FIFA Club World Cup trophy in 2013. Bayern Munich was founded in 1900 by eleven football players and their leader was Franz John. The Bavarians host their rivals at Allianz Arena (75,000), the stadium that was built in 2005.
Fellow Bavarian sides TSV 1860 Munchen 1860 and Nurnberg are regarded as Bayern Munich’s fiercest rivals, but the rivalry between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern is big as well. The likes of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Franz Beckenbauer, Lothar Matthaus, Oliver Kahn, Gerd Muller and Giovane Elber are famous footballers who played for Bayern Munich in the past.
