Our match prediction:
Despite challenging for European places just a couple of years back, Hannover found themselves at Bundesliga rock bottom at the moment and it appears they will not be able to beat the drop. The seven-point gap behind safety wouldn't be such a big problem if the team were showing any signs of promise, but having now suffered seven defeats in a row, we cannot really expect them to get anything from the Augsburg clash. The visitors did have a demanding game against Liverpool in midweek, but they should have it in them to pile more misery on the 96ers, especially considering they have a decent strength in depth. Augsburg may not have been impressive of late, but having won five straight games on the road between October and December, they can be trusted to rediscover their away form and push struggling Hannover towards the second division. Therefore, predicting an away win doesn't seem such a difficult task.
