Our football match prediction:
High-flying Bayern Munich will be looking to build on a thrilling 6-0 win over Augsburg when they face Hoffenheim at WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena. The mighty Bavarians are on a five-game winning run in the Bundesliga and they are on the right track to defend their trophy. Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are 13 points clear of second-placed Leipzig, but, no doubt, the league leaders will stick to their attacking style of play in Tuesday’s football game against Hoffenheim. Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick in the 6-0 triumph over Augsburg and we predict that the opposition defenders will have their work cut out for them when facing the former Borussia Dortmund superstar. Die Kraichgauer are enjoying a season to remember and they could put icing on the cake by booking their place in the Champions League. Julian Nagelsmann’s team are sitting in third place in the standings and, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from the upcoming league fixture. Nonetheless, grabbing something from the clash against the star-studded Bavarians is easier said than done.
Highlighted Player (Oliver Baumann):
Oliver Baumann is a German goalkeeper who was born on 2 June, 1990 in Breisach. The 187-cm-tall shoot-stopper began his youth career at FC Bad Krozingen and in 2002 he joined Freiburg youth school. After making 131 appearances for the first team, he signed a four-year deal with Hoffenheim on 14 May, 2014. Oliver Baumann played for Germany U18, U19, U20 and U21 teams and it has to be noted that he has 10 caps for the U21 team. However, he has yet to represent the senior team on the international stage. It has to be noted that Baumann made 33 league appearances for Hoffenheim in the 2015/2016 Bundesliga campaign, conceding 50 goals in the process. The German goalkeeper managed to keep six clean sheets in the 2015/2016 Bundesliga campaign. He has a contract with die Kraichgauer which expires on 30 June, 2018.
Highlighted Team (Bayern Munich):
Over the years Bayern Munich have established themselves as one of the most successful European clubs. The Stern des Sudens (Star of the South) are the dominant force in German football and it has to be noted that the Bavarians clinched their 26th Bundesliga title in 2016. Bayern Munich have won 18 German Cup trophies, while winning the Champions League (European Cup) five times. The German giants clinched the Intercontinental Cup in 1976 and 2001, while lifting the FIFA Club World Cup trophy in 2013. Bayern Munich was founded in 1900 by eleven football players and their leader was Franz John. The Bavarians host their rivals at Allianz Arena (75,000), the stadium that was built in 2005. Fellow Bavarian sides TSV 1860 Munchen 1860 and Nurnberg are regarded as Bayern Munich’s fiercest rivals, but the rivalry between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern is big as well. The likes of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Franz Beckenbauer, Lothar Matthaus, Oliver Kahn, Gerd Muller and Giovane Elber are famous footballers who played for Bayern Munich in the past.
