Our football match prediction:
Saturday’s football match at Audi-Sportpark pits together Ingolstadt and Wolfsburg. Ingolstadt regained a much-needed confidence at the weekend as they recorded their first win of the season against Darmstadt. Ingolstadt, though, need to keep on improving their game if they are to escape the relegation zone and, no doubt, Saturday’s game against Wolfsburg is of big importance for the hosts. The Wolves have been playing below expectations in the 2016/2017 Bundesliga campaign, but Saturday’s clash against Ingolstadt could be the turning point for Valerien Ismael’s charges. Wolfsburg aim to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Schalke and we predict that they are going to beat Ingolstadt at Audi-Sportpark. Mario Gomez is certainly capable of producing much better performances in the German elite division and we believe that the time has come for the former Bayern Munich ace to prove his worth. Anyhow, away win should be considered this time out.
Highlighted Player (Alfredo Morales):
Alfredo Morales is an American football player who was born in Berlin on 12 May, 1990. The USA midfielder moved to Germany as a boy and he played for the likes of BSC Reinickendorf 21, Borussia Pankow, FC Concordia Wilhelmsruh and Hertha BSC during his youth career. Morales played 81 games for Hertha II at senior level, scoring 11 league goals for the capital club. He made 20 appearances for the first team as well, but in 2013 he joined Ingolstadt on a two-year deal. Alfredo Morales was eligible to play for both Germany and USA, but he decided to represent the Yanks on the international level. The 183-cm-tall midfielder made his USA debut on 29 January, 2013 against Canada. He came as a substitute 15 minutes before the final whistle. It has to be noted that Morales represented United States of America at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup. His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as both centre back and a defensive midfielder.
Highlighted Team (Wolfsburg):
Wolfsburg are a German football club founded in the aftermath of the World War II (1945). Die Wolfe (The Wolves) wear green and white shirts and they play their home games at Volkswagen Arena. The capacity of the stadium is 30,000 and it was opened on 13 December, 2002. It is well known that German car manufacturer Volkswagen are the club’s main sponsors. Wolfsburg won the Bundesliga trophy in 2009 and the likes of Edin Dzeko, Grafite and Zvjezdan Misimovic were part of the club’s golden generation. You should bear in mind that Grafite and Dzeko scored 54 goals between each other in the 2008/2009 Bundesliga campaign and that the team clinched the trophy thanks to a 5-1 win over Werder Bremen on 23 May, 2009. Die Wolfe won the German Cup trophy in 2015, with the team beating star-studded Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in the title game. Wolfsburg are a team that has no bitter rivals in German football.
