Our match prediction:
This season is proving to be a genuine rollercoaster ride for Schalke, who cannot seem to find any sort of consistency. The good news is they are still mere two points behind Champions League positions in Bundesliga, while they have every right to be satisfied with a goalless draw against Shakhtar in the first leg of their Europa League tie. The Miners have done pretty well at home of late, winning four of last five matches at Veltins Arena and this gives the team confidence ahead of the clash with the Swabians. Nevertheless, tired legs could prove to be a problem after the long trip to Ukraine. Following some difficult times, Stuttgart fans finally have reason for optimism as their beloved team have been on fire of late, winning five straight Bundesliga fixtures to all but secure survival. Having proved that they can cope with Germany's top sides, the appetites have now grown and even though nobody could have predicted this, the Swabians stand a chance of securing European qualification. Taking everything into account, we can see Stuttgart getting at least one point from this game.
