Our football match prediction:
Augsburg look unstoppable ahead of the trip to Stuttgart. Following back-to-back wins over the likes of Koln and Eintracht Frankfurt, Manuel Baum’s men recorded a hard-fought victory over last season’s runners-up Leipzig in midweek and, no doubt, they are brimming with confidence at the moment. Against all odds, Augsburg sit in third place in the Bundesliga standings ahead of Matchday 6 and we predict that they are going to extend their unbeaten run in the German top flight to five games. Stuttgart aim to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to Borussia M’gladbach and it has to be noted that they are eyeing their third consecutive win at home in the Bundesliga. However, seeing that Augsburg have been in a thrilling form at the start of the season, we believe that the newcomers should be happy with one point from Saturday’s football match. It has to be noted, though, that Augsburg emerged triumphant in each of their last seven meetings with Stuttgart in the German elite division.
Highlighted Player (Chadrac Akolo):
Chadrac Akolo is a Congolese footballer who started his senior career at Sion. After scoring 18 goals in 58 appearances in the league for the Swiss outfit Akolo moved to Stuttgart in the summer of 2017, but you should know that he played for Neuxhatel Xamax in the 2015/2016 season (on loan) as well. The African footballer was born in Kinshasa on April 1, 1995, but he has yet to make his debut for the DR Congo national football team. Akolo’s main position is right midfield, but he is capable of playing as both left midfielder and secondary striker as well. The 172-cm-tall footballer is very quick and good on the ball and he is widely expected to make a great progress in years to come. Chadrac Akolo’s contract with Stuttgart expires on June 30, 2021. The Congolese player scored 15 goals in 34 appearances for Sion in the 2016/2017 Swiss Super League campaign.
Highlighted Team (Augsburg):
Augsburg are a German football club founded in Augsburg, Bavaria back in 1907. Die Fuggerstadter play in German Bundesliga and with 12,200 members they are regarded as the largest football club in Bavaria. Augsburg wear white shirts and they host their rivals at WWK ARENA. The capacity of the stadium is 30,660 and it has been the home of Augsburg since 2009. Augsburg won the Schwaben Cup 13 times and it has to be noted that they were promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time in 2011. The club qualified for the Europa League 2015/2016 group stages and thanks to a 3-1 win over Partizan in Belgrade they booked their place in the last 32. However, Liverpool proved to be a big catch for the German outfit in the Europa League knockout stages. Die Fuggerstadter’s main rivals are TSV 1860 Munich and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other.
