Our football match prediction:
As expected, Stuttgart failed to grab something from Saturday’s football game against last season’s runners-up Leipzig. Die Schwaben have been struggling on the travels this season, but they are tough to beat at home and the newcomers have conceded no more than one goal in four home fixtures. Stuttgart aim to escape the danger zone in the Bundesliga standings and we predict that they will adopt an attack-minded approach against Freiburg. Christian Streich’s charges are not regarded as good travelers and seeing that they failed to score in their last three away games in the national championship, we do not believe that they are capable of shocking die Roten at Mercedes-Benz-Arena. It has to be noted that Stuttgart emerged triumphant in four of their last five meetings with Freiburg in the German top flight and we believe that Hannes Wolf’s men are going to record their fourth home win of the season.
Highligted Player (Ron-Robert Zieler):
Ron-Robert Zieler is a 188-cm-tall goalkeeper who plays for FC Koln as a goalkeeper. Zieler was born in Koln, Germany on February 12, 1989 and he began his career at his home-town club Viktoria Koln. German shoot-stopper moved to the youth team of FC Koln in 1999 and six years later he was spotted by Manchester United scouts. In 2005 Ron-Robert Zieler signed for the famous Premier League club and it has to be noted that he made 22 appearances for Man Utd U18 team. He made his first team debut for the Red Devils in a League Cup win over Middlesbrough on September 23, 2008. Zieler moved to Germany in 2010, signing a two-year deal with Hannover 96. However, he spent six years at the club (2010-2016), making 185 appearances in the league for die Roten and in the summer of 2016 he returned to England. The German goalkeeper signed a deal with Leicester City, but, after playing only nine games in the Premier League for the Foxes he moved to VfB Stuttgart on July 11, 2017.
Highlighted Team (Freiburg):
Freiburg are a professional football club that compete in German Bundesliga. Freiburg were founded in 1904 and they welcome their rivals at Schwarzwald-Stadion. The stadium has been the home of Freiburg since 1954 and the capacity of the facility is 24,000. Die Breisgau-Brasilianer wear black and white shirts and black shorts, whilst the colour of the team’s away kit is white. Freiburg made it to the German Cup semis in the 2012/2013 DFB Pokal campaign, but their local rivals VFB Stuttgart proved to be a big catch for the Schwarzwald-Stadion outfit. After spending several years in lower leagues, Die Breisgau-Brasilianer returned to the German top flight in 2016. The likes of Levan Kobiashvili, Papiss Cisse, Sascha Rieter, Joachim Low, Zlatan Bajramovic, Mohammadaou Idrissou, Roda Antar, Sebastian Kehl, Richard Golz are the notable footballers who played for Augsburg in the past. It is well known that Joachim Low helped Germany win the 2014 FIFA World Cup as a coach.
