Our football match prediction:
Stuttgart and Wolfsburg, the two teams who are eager to secure the Bundesliga survival, face each other at Mercedes-Benz-Arena on day four of the new season. Die Schwaben did well to beat Mainz in their first home game of the season, but they failed to impress in a 3-1 defeat to Schalke at the weekend. The newcomers obviously struggle on the road, but they are definitely capable of beating Wolfsburg in front of home fans. Congo DR international Chadrac Akolo scored his first goal of the season in the loss to Schalke and he could pose a big threat for the opposition defenders in Saturday’s football match. The Wolves played out a 1-1 draw with Hannover in their last league fixture, but they should have picked up all three points from the match. Anyhow, seeing that Wolfsburg are not regarded as good travelers, we are tempted to put our money on Stuttgart this time out.
Highlighted Player (Chadrac Akolo):
Chadrac Akolo is a Congolese footballer who started his senior career at Sion. After scoring 18 goals in 58 appearances in the league for the Swiss outfit Akolo moved to Stuttgart in the summer of 2017, but you should know that he played for Neuxhatel Xamax in the 2015/2016 season (on loan) as well. The African footballer was born in Kinshasa on April 1, 1995, but he has yet to make his debut for the DR Congo national football team. Akolo’s main position is right midfield, but he is capable of playing as both left midfielder and secondary striker as well. The 172-cm-tall footballer is very quick and good on the ball and he is widely expected to make a great progress in years to come. Chadrac Akolo’s contract with Stuttgart expires on June 30, 2021. The Congolese player scored 15 goals in 34 appearances for Sion in the 2016/2017 Swiss Super League campaign.
Highlighted Team (Wolfsburg):
Wolfsburg are a German football club founded in the aftermath of the World War II (1945). Die Wolfe (The Wolves) wear green and white shirts and they play their home games at Volkswagen Arena. The capacity of the stadium is 30,000 and it was opened on 13 December, 2002. It is well known that German car manufacturer Volkswagen are the club’s main sponsors. Wolfsburg won the Bundesliga trophy in 2009 and the likes of Edin Dzeko, Grafite and Zvjezdan Misimovic were part of the club’s golden generation. You should bear in mind that Grafite and Dzeko scored 54 goals between each other in the 2008/2009 Bundesliga campaign and that the team clinched the trophy thanks to a 5-1 win over Werder Bremen on 23 May, 2009. Die Wolfe won the German Cup trophy in 2015, with the team beating star-studded Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in the title game. Wolfsburg are a team that has no bitter rivals in German football.
