Our football match prediction:
Thanks to a splendid 3-0 win over Mainz Augsburg managed to put an end to their nine-game winless run in Bundesliga, with the team finally giving fans something to cheer about. The Bavarians regained a much-needed confidence, but they can’t afford any complacency in Sunday’s football game against Werder Bremen, who are a real force to be reckoned with at home. Die Werderaner head into the match following back-to-back draws against the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt and Nurnberg and they surely want to get back on course. As previously mentioned, Werder Bremen have turned their Weserstadion into a real fortress and considering that Augsburg failed to score in three of their four league fixtures, we predict that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed from the trip to Bremen. A man to watch in the home team will be former Wolfsburg man Max Kruse.

Highlighted Player (Nuri Sahin):
Born in Germany to Turkish parents, Nuri Sahin is a Turkish international midfielder, who hasn’t exactly managed to realise his full potential. The left-footed footballer remains one of the most impressive players to have graduated from the Borussia Dortmund youth academy, and he went on to become a first team regular at Westfalenstadion at the age of 17. Following a thoroughly impressive loan stint with Feyenoord, Sahin returned to Dortmund, where he enjoyed two more very successful years before signing for Real Madrid. However, it was at that time that his career started taking the wrong turn as he was never able to rediscover his form, and he eventually returned to Borussia following a somewhat disappointing stint at Liverpool. Sahin is no longer considered a first team regular for either club or country, but he has amassed around 50 appearances for the Turkey national team, and he still has time to get his career back on track.

Highlighted Team (Augsburg):

Augsburg are a German football club founded in Augsburg, Bavaria back in 1907. Die Fuggerstadter play in German Bundesliga and with 12,200 members they are regarded as the largest football club in Bavaria. Augsburg wear white shirts and they host their rivals at WWK ARENA. The capacity of the stadium is 30,660 and it has been the home of Augsburg since 2009. Augsburg won the Schwaben Cup 13 times and it has to be noted that they were promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time in 2011. The club qualified for the Europa League 2015/2016 group stages and thanks to a 3-1 win over Partizan in Belgrade they booked their place in the last 32. However, Liverpool proved to be a big catch for the German outfit in the Europa League knockout stages. Die Fuggerstadter’s main rivals are TSV 1860 Munich and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other.
