Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Saturday’s football match at Weserstadion pits together Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg. Die Werderaner aim to put an end to their four-game losing run in Bundesliga, while the Wolves want to record their second win of the season. Werder Bremen have been totally out of form at the start of the season and they have been struggling at the back in the national championship. New coach Alexander Nouri marked his debut with a 2-1 loss to Mainz and, no doubt, situation at Weserstadion is alarming ahead of the visit of Wolfsburg. The Wolves, on the other hand, suffered a heavy 5-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund in Tuesday’s football match and seeing that both teams are desperate to return to winning ways, we predict that fans will see a lively contest in Bremen. Taking everything into account, both teams to score bet appears on the horizon in this one.
Highlighted Player (Aron Johannsson):
Aron Johannsson is a 25-year-old striker who plays for the German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen and the United States national side. He started his career with Iceland club Fjolnir before joining Dutch club AZ Alkmaar in 2013.
He had a prolific stay at the Eredivisie before signing for Werder Bremen in 2015 for a transfer fee in the region of € 5 million. However he made limited appearances for them due to a hip injury. Johannsson is a former Iceland U-21 international but made his senior debut for the United States in 2013. He was part of the American squad which finished fourth at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup scoring in the quarter-final win over Cuba.
He already has 19 senior caps to his name along with two goals to his credit. Johannsson is known as a very mobile striker and scores goals at an excellent rate – as was evident in his stay at Alkmaar.
Highlighted Team (Wolfsburg):
Wolfsburg are a German football club founded in the aftermath of the World War II (1945). Die Wolfe (The Wolves) wear green and white shirts and they play their home games at Volkswagen Arena. The capacity of the stadium is 30,000 and it was opened on 13 December, 2002.
It is well known that German car manufacturer Volkswagen are the club’s main sponsors. Wolfsburg won the Bundesliga trophy in 2009 and the likes of Edin Dzeko, Grafite and Zvjezdan Misimovic were part of the club’s golden generation.
You should bear in mind that Grafite and Dzeko scored 54 goals between each other in the 2008/2009 Bundesliga campaign and that the team clinched the trophy thanks to a 5-1 win over Werder Bremen on 23 May, 2009. Die Wolfe won the German Cup trophy in 2015, with the team beating star-studded Borussia Dortmund 3-1 in the title game. Wolfsburg are a team that has no bitter rivals in German football.
