Our football match prediction:
Volkswagen Arena will host Friday’s football game between Wolfsburg and Augsburg. The Wolves desperately needed a win against Freiburg at the weekend and they managed to get one. Wolfsburg continue life without key attacker Mario Gomez and Daniel Didavi, who scored a brace in the 2-0 win over Freiburg, will be the man to watch in the home team. Augsburg, on the other hand, aim to bounce back from a heavy 4-1 loss to Bayern Munich, but seeing that Wolfsburg’s Bundesliga status is in great danger, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. The Wolves are likely to leave their hearts on the field in the opening match of game week 30 and we predict that they are going to give fans yet another reason for celebration. However, you should bear in mind that it has been four years since Wolfsburg recorded their last win over Augsburg at Volkswagen Arena.

Highlighted Player (Blaszczykowski ):
Better known as “Kuba”, Jakub Blaszczykowski is a Polish midfielder, who has spent the majority of his career in German Bundesliga, and he has made over 75 appearances for the Polish national team. The highly rated midfielder represented KS Czestochowa and Wisla Krakow on domestic stage before joining Borussia Dortmund in February 2007, and little did he know that he would spend next decade at BVB. During his time with the Millionaires, Blaszczykowski established himself as one of Europe’s leading right wingers, winning two Bundesliga titles and reaching the Champions League final with Dortmund. The Poland international eventually lost his place in the side near the end of Jurgen Klopp’s reign at Signal-Iduna Park, and he later joined Fiorentina on loan in an attempt to kick-start his career. Kuba continues to play an important role for the Poland national team, with his return of 15 goals in first 75 caps pretty good for a midfielder. Blaszczykowski represented his country at the Euro 2012, but couldn’t help his side get past the group stage.

Highlighted Team (Augsburg):

Augsburg are a German football club founded in Augsburg, Bavaria back in 1907. Die Fuggerstadter play in German Bundesliga and with 12,200 members they are regarded as the largest football club in Bavaria. Augsburg wear white shirts and they host their rivals at WWK ARENA. The capacity of the stadium is 30,660 and it has been the home of Augsburg since 2009. Augsburg won the Schwaben Cup 13 times and it has to be noted that they were promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time in 2011. The club qualified for the Europa League 2015/2016 group stages and thanks to a 3-1 win over Partizan in Belgrade they booked their place in the last 32. However, Liverpool proved to be a big catch for the German outfit in the Europa League knockout stages. Die Fuggerstadter’s main rivals are TSV 1860 Munich and there have always been fireworks when the two teams take on each other.
