Our prediction for this Bundesliga match:
Wolfsburg and Schalke 04 square off against each other at VOLKSWAGEN ARENA in what is expected to be a real football festival. The Wolves aim to build on a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Elversberg in the German Cup, but die Knappen are likely to pose a much bigger threat for the hosts than the Regionalliga side. Wolfsburg failed to impress in the 2017/2018 season and, no doubt, they are determined to make amends for the unsuccessful campaign. A man to watch in the home team will be Croatian rising star Josip Brekalo, who impressed in the Bundesliga play-offs last season. Schalke 04 have big ambitions for the 2018/2019 Bundesliga campaign, but seeing that Wolfsburg are tough to beat at home, we are tempted to put our money on draw. You should bear in mind that under 2.5 goals have been netted in four of last five meetings between the two sides.

Highlighted Player (Jakub Blaszczykowski ):

Better known as “Kuba”, Jakub Błaszczykowski is a Polish midfielder, who has spent the majority of his career in German Bundesliga, and he has made over 75 appearances for the Polish national team. The highly rated midfielder represented KS Czestochowa and Wisla Krakow on domestic stage before joining Borussia Dortmund in February 2007, and little did he know that he would spend next decade at BVB.
During his time with the Millionaires, Blaszczykowski established himself as one of Europe’s leading right wingers, winning two Bundesliga titles and reaching the Champions League final with Dortmund. The Poland international eventually lost his place in the side near the end of Jurgen Klopp’s reign at Signal-Iduna Park, and he later joined Fiorentina on loan in an attempt to kick-start his career.
Kuba continues to play an important role for the Poland national team, with his return of 15 goals in first 75 caps pretty good for a midfielder. Blaszczykowski represented his country at the Euro 2012, but couldn’t help his side get past the group stage.
Highlighted Team (Schalke 04):

Schalke 04 are a professional football club founded in 1904. Die Knappen (The Miners) compete in German Bundesliga and they have won seven domestic titles. Schalke have clinched five German Cup trophies as well, while lifting the UEFA Cup title in 1997. The German club defeated Italian side Inter on penalties in the title game and that was the last time the final of the competition was played in a two-legged format.
Schalke 04 play their home matches at Veltins-Arena, the stadium that has been the home of the team since 2001. The capacity of Veltins-Arena is 62,271. It is well known that Borussia Dortmund are Schalke’s main rivals and the Ruhy neighbours face each other in the Revierderby.
The likes of Klaus Fichtel (477), Norbert Nigbur (355), Rolf Russmann (304), Klaus Fischer (295), Olaf Thon (295) and Herbert Lutkebohmert (286) are the players with most appearances for die Knappen. The colour of Schalke’s home kit is blue.
