Our prediction for this Ligue 1 match:
Caen will be looking to put an end to their three-game winless run in the Ligue 1 when they host Amiens at their Stade Michel d’Ornano on Saturday evening. Caen have been scoring goals for fun of late, but they do not look sharp at the back and it remains to be seen if they are going to keep a clean sheet in Saturday’s football match. Fabien Mercadal’s troops shared the spoils with each of their previous three rivals at home, but we believe that the time has come for the Stade Michel d’Ornano outfit to record their first home victory of the season. Amiens, on the other hand, gave fans some cheer on Wednesday evening as they defeated Rennes in front of home fans, but gfiven their poor away record, we predict that the hosts are going to emerge triumphant in Saturday’s relegation six-pointer.

Highlighted Player (Frédéric Guilbert):

Despite his modest height for a centre-back, Frederic Guilbert is a remarkably strong in aerial duels. Former France U21 international is a player of great positional awareness and tactical discipline who makes immense defensive contribution for his team.
A versatile defender who can play in various positions across the backline, Guilbert can also be deployed as a right midfielder where his speed and agility come to play. Born in Valognes, Frederic Guilbert spent all of his career playing in France although he has thus far failed to spend more than two seasons at a single club. Spells at Caen, AS Cherbourg, Bordeaux were insufficient for Guilbert to secure regular playing time and prove his worth, which he hopes would change at Caen.
Guilbert joined the Stade Michel d’Ornano based club on a permanent deal in 2017, after a season-long loan spell away from Bordeaux. He went on to play 42 matches across all competitions in his second season with Caen and has done well to announce himself as an important player for the French side.
Highlighted Team (Amiens):

Amiens is a French football club that compete in Ligue 1. Les Licornes (The Unicorns) finished the 2016/2017 Ligue 2 campaign in second place in the standings and, as a result, they secured promotion to the French top flight for the first time ever. Amiens got their job done on the final day of the season, with Emmanuel Bourgaud scoring a late winner in the game against Reims. The club was founded back in 1901 by a group of players from the Association du Lycee d’Amiens and nowadays les Licornes play their home games at Stade de La Licorne.
The capacity of the venue is 12.097 and it was opened on July 24, 1999. Experienced midfielder Mathieu Bodmer joined the club in the summer of 2017 and he is considered one of the team’s best players. The experienced defender used to play for the likes of Lyon, Lille, and Paris Saint-Germain in the past.
Amiens play their home games in white shirts and white shorts, while they wear black when playing on the road.
