Our football match prediction:
Barnsley and Middlesbrough face each other at Oakwell Stadium in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Saturday’s program. The Tykes proved their worth in a 3-1 win over Millwall in their last league match, with the team putting an end to their four-game winless run in the Championship. Tom Bradshaw scored a brace in the triumph over the Lions and the former Walsall attacker is likely to pose a big threat for the opposition defenders. Boro played out a 2-2 draw with Brentford on Matchday 11 and they occupy 11th place in the standings ahead of the trip to Barnsley. Both sides are likely to go for a win in Saturday’s football match at Oakwell Stadium and, taking everything into account, both teams to score bet should be considered. It has to be noted that the hosts will be without suspended defender Jason McCarthy against Middlesbrough.
Highligted Player (Adam Davies):
Adam Davies is a German-born footballer who plays for Championship side Barnsley as a goalkeeper. The 185-cm-tall shoot-stopper began his youth career at Everton and in 2012 he signed a contract with Sheffield Wednesday. However, he never managed to make a first-team appearance for the Owls. Due to the lack of first team action, he decided to leave the club in 2014. Adam Davies, who was born in Rinteln, Germany on 17 July, 1992, moved to Barnsley on 13 June, 2014. He made his debut for the club against Crawley Town in the opening match of the 2014/2015 campaign and he quickly established himself as a first-choice goalkeeper. His contract with Barnsley expires on 30 June, 2017, but the deal could be extended for a further year. Adam Davies conceded 82 goals, while keeping 26 clean sheets in 74 appearances for Barnsley in all competitions. During his spell at Everton U23 he managed to keep eight clean sheets in 22 appearances for the club.
Highlighted Team (Middlesbrough):
Middlesbrough are a professional football club that have been balancing between the top two divisions of England’s league system in the modern history. Boro have been playing their home games at the Riverside Stadium since 1995 and their shirt colour is red. The capacity of the Riverside Stadium is 34,742. Middlesbrough impressed in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign and they did really well to secure promotion to the English top flight. Newcastle United and Sunderland are regarded as the club’s main rivals, but there is a rivalry with Leeds United as well. Middlesbrough made it to the FA Cup final in 1997, but Chelsea proved to be a big catch for the Boro in the title game (0-2). However, the Riverside Stadium outfit did remarkably well to win the League Cup trophy in 2004, with the team beating Bolton Wanderers in the final. George Boateng, Stewart Downing, Juninho Paulista, Gareth Southgate, Jonathan Woodgate, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Tuncay Sanli and Hamilton Ricard are the star footballers who left their mark at Middlesbrough.
