Our prediction for this Championship match:
Birmingham City will be looking to build on back-to-back wins over Wigan Athletic and Stoke City when they host Brentford at their St. Andrew’s Stadium. The Blues are eyeing their third consecutive clean sheet in the Championship and seeing that a win over Brentford could see them climb to the play-offs berth, Saturday’s football match is of big importance for the hosts. The Bees, on the other hand, played out a 1-1 draw with Bristol City on Boxing Day, with the team remaining in the danger zone. Brentford recorded only one win in previous eight league games, which is probably the main reason why away win should not be considered. The Blues have been in a splendid form of late, therefore, we believe that they are going to give fans yet another reason for celebration. In their last meeting in the Championship the two teams shared the spoils.

Highlighted Player (Maikel Kieftenbeld):

Maikel Kieftenbeld is a defensive midfielder who plays for Birmingham City. The Dutch footballer was born on 26 June, 1990 and he made his senior debut for Go Ahead Eagles on 8 August 2008. Kieftenbeld played 63 matches for Go Ahead Eagles and scored three goals for the Dutch team.
After ending his spell with the Adelaarshorts outfit, he joined Groningen on 17 June, 2010 on a four-year deal. The Eredivisie club paid a €300,000 fee for the midfielder and it has to be noted that he spent five years at Euroborg stadium. Maikel Kieftenbeld then signed a three-year contract with Birmingham City for an undisclosed fee. The Dutch footballer scored three goals in 42 appearances for the Blues in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign.
Kieftenbeld was born in Dalfsen where he attended Heilig Hartschool. His mother Anja played volleyball, while his father Joop worked as a football coach. The Birmingham City midfielder is well known for his ability to pass the ball quickly to his teammates, but for his hard tackles as well.
Highlighted Team (Brentford):

Based in London, Brentford compete in the Championship and they were founded in 1898. Griffin Park has been the home ground of the club since 1904 and the capacity of the venue is 12,300.
The Bees have yet to play in the Premier League and it has to be noted that they made it to the FA Cup sixth round on four occasions (1937/1938, 1945/1946,1948/1949, 1988/1989). Brentford played in the League Cup round 4 in the 1982/1983 and 2010/2011 season and that is the club’s biggest success in the competition.
Brentford’s main rivals are Fulham and Queens Park Rangers and they take on each other in the West London Derby. The rivalry with the Cottagers is probably the biggest and you should bear in mind that the clashes between the two teams have their history of crowd violence. The colour of Brentford’s shirts is red and white and they wear black shorts.
