Our prediction for this Championship match:
As expected, Birmingham City suffered a 1-0 loss to Leeds United at Elland Road in their last league match. The Blues remained in the top half of the Championship standings despite the defeat and they are definitely capable of matching Blackburn Rovers at their St. Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium. Birmingham City recorded three wins in previous four home fixtures in the English second tier and given Blackburn’s shaky defence, we believe that there is a big value in betting on the hosts.
The Riversiders conceded 9 goals in total in previous four league matches and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Birmingham City’s party at St. Andrew’s Trillion Trophy Stadium. In their last away game in the Championship Blackburn Rovers suffered a 4-2 loss to Queens Park Rangers, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered.

Highlighted Player (Jefferson Montero):

The 26-year-old Jefferson Montero is a lightning quick winger who plays for Swansea City in the English Premier League. After starting his career in the youth ranks at Emelec, Montero made his senior professional debut with them. But his first real impact was at Independiente Valle, which brought him a contract with Villarreal in 2009.
Montero, however, struggled to establish himself at the Spanish club and spent his time on loans with Levante and Real Betis. He then moved to Liga MX club Morelia, where he would go on to play more than 60 games in two years. His pace and guile caught the attention of Swansea who brought him to Premier League in 2014.
Montero was part of the 2007 Pan American Games winning Ecuador team – the first international trophy for the nation. He made his full debut in 2010 and has 56 caps and 10 goals to his credit so far.
Highlighted Team (Blackburn Rovers):

Blackburn Rovers have been trying to return to the Premier League ever since they dropped to the Championship in 2012. The Riversiders compete in the English second tier and they play their home games at Ewood Park. Blackburn were founded back in 1875 and they are one of the founding members of the Football League (1888).
Burnley are considered Blackburn’s main rivals and the two teams square off against each other in the East Lancashire derby. It has to be noted that Blackburn Burnley 7-1 in their first ever meeting in the East Lancashire Derby on 3 November, 1888. The Riversiders have won three First Division (Premier League) trophies (1911/1912, 1913/1914, 1994/1995).
Blackburn Rovers have clinched six FA Cup titles as well. Speaking of the club’s European success, the Riversiders won the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2007. The colour of Blackburn’s home kit is blue and white.
