Our football match prediction:
Brighton did remarkably well to bounce back from a 2-0 loss to Preston. The Seagulls recorded a 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday on Matchday 27, but it has to be noted that attacker Glenn Murray was sent off in the second half of the match. The former Crystal Palace man misses the Cardiff City game through suspension, but coach Chris Hughton has a number of high-profile players to choose from and Brighton are regarded as hot favourites to win Tuesday’s football match against the Bluebirds. Cardiff City managed to escape the danger zone in the Championship standings and they are on a three-match winning run in the league ahead of the trip to Brighton. However, considering that the Seagulls have been impressive on home soil so far this season, we predict that the promotion-chasing team will pick up all three points from Tuesday’s match at the American Express Community Stadium.
Highlighted Player (Sam Baldock):
Sam Baldock is an English footballer who plays as a striker for Brighton. Baldock was born in Buckingham, England on 15 March 1989 and he began his senior career at Milton Keynes Dons. After spending six years at Stadium mk, Baldock signed a four-year contract with West Ham United on 26 August, 2011. However, after failing to impress in the 2011/2012 campaign, he was sold to Bristol City at the end of the season. Sam Baldock scored 34 goals in 83 appearances for the club and in 2014 he joined his current club Brighton. The English attacker signed for the Seagulls for an undisclosed fee, which was believed to be in the region of £2m. Sam Baldock has a contract with Brighton, which expiries on 30 June, 2018. It has to be noted that he represented England at the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt. His main position is centre forward, but he is capable of playing at both left and right back as well.
Highlighted Team (Cardiff City):
Cardiff City are a Welsh football club that compete in the English second tier (Championship). In 2009 they moved from Ninian Park to Cardiff City Stadium, the venue that officially holds 33,280 spectators. The Bluebirds played their first ever Premier League match on 18 August, 2013, but they were beaten by West Ham United (0-2) on their debut in the English top flight. However, a week later Fraizer Campbell (two goals) and Aron Gunnarson helped Cardiff City record their first ever win in the Premier League. The Bluebirds outplayed Manchester City back then, but they eventually dropped to the Championship at the end of the season. Fellow Welsh outfit Swansea City are considered Cardiff’s fiercest rivals and the two teams take on each other in the South Wales derby. The colour of Cardiff City’s home kit is blue, whilst they wear red shirts and shorts when playing on the travels.
