Our football match prediction:
Having defeated Wigan Athletic in midweek, Newcastle United will be looking to retain top position in the Championship standings with a victory over Burton Albion at Pirelli Stadium. The Magpies quickly got back on course and they are certainly brimming with confidence ahead of Saturday’s football game. Rafa Benitez is likely to mix the squad against Burton due to the busy schedule, but regardless of which players will start the match, the league leaders are regarded as hot favourites to emerge triumphant in the Pirelli Stadium showdown. The newcomers suffered back-to-back defeats to the likes of Brentford and Huddersfield in previous two league fixtures and they are unlikely to upset Newcastle United on Matchday 22. Dwight Gale led the line for the Magpies against Wigan, but we predict that Serbian attacker Aleksandar Mitrovic will replace him in the starting XI. Anyhow, away win appears on the horizon in this one.
Highlighted Player (Lucas Akins):
After making his first football steps in Huddersfield Town youth academy, Lucas Akins made his first-team debut against Northampton Town as he came as a substitute to replace Luke Beckett. However, he made no more than five appearances for Huddersfield Town as he was sent on loan to Nortwich Victoria. After spending two seasons at Hamilton Academical, the winger, who was born on 25 February 1989, joined Tranmere Rovers in July, 2010. Lucas Atkins scored 7 goals in 77 appearances for the club and in 2012 he signed a contract with Stevenage. The English footballer played 77 league games for the Boro and he scored 13 goals for the club. During the 2013/2014 campaign he was on Burton Albion’s radar and at the end of the season he joined the Pirelli Stadium outfit. Lucas Atkins enjoys playing football, but dancing is considered his passion as well. His main position is right wing, but he plays as both centre forward and left winger as well.
Highlighted Team (Newcastle United):
Newcastle United failed to impress in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign and, as a result, they dropped to the English second tier. The Magpies will host their rivals at their St. James’ Park in the 2016/2017 Championship campaign and it has to be noted that the capacity of the stadium is 52,354. Newcastle United have won four domestic trophies (1904/1905, 1906/1907, 1908/1909, 1926/1927), while lifting six FA Cup titles (1910, 1924, 1932, 1951, 1952, 1955) and a number of star players were part of the St. James’ Park outfit in the past. David Ginola, Michael Owen, Alan Shearer, Les Ferdinand, Nolberto Solano, Gary Speed, Obafemi Martins and Kevin Nolan are notable footballers who are still remembered at the club. Newcastle’s fiercest rivals are Sunderland and there have always been fireworks when the two local rivals face each other in the Tyne-Wear derby. The colour of Newcastle’s home kit is black and white.
