Our prediction for this Championship match:
Following back-to-back wins over the likes of Bolton Wanderers and Reading, Burton Albion suffered a 2-1 loss to Leeds United in their last league fixture. The Brewers are only one point clear of the relegation zone ahead of Saturday’s football match and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against the Canaries. Nigel Clough’s men are on an eight-game losing run at home in the Championship and we believe that the time has come for the hosts to put an end to the negative trend. Norwich City desperately needed a win against Birmingham City at the weekend and they managed to get one. The Canaries gave fans some cheer on Boxing Day, but they need to keep on winning if they are to book their place in the play-offs. Anyhow, the hosts want this win more than the visitors and we predict the Brewers are going to return to winning ways in the Championship this weekend.
Highlighted Player (Lucas Akins):
After making his first football steps in Huddersfield Town youth academy, Lucas Akins made his first-team debut against Northampton Town as he came as a substitute to replace Luke Beckett. However, he made no more than five appearances for Huddersfield Town as he was sent on loan to Nortwich Victoria. After spending two seasons at Hamilton Academical, the winger, who was born on 25 February 1989, joined Tranmere Rovers in July, 2010. Lucas Atkins scored 7 goals in 77 appearances for the club and in 2012 he signed a contract with Stevenage. The English footballer played 77 league games for the Boro and he scored 13 goals for the club. During the 2013/2014 campaign he was on Burton Albion’s radar and at the end of the season he joined the Pirelli Stadium outfit. Lucas Atkins enjoys playing football, but dancing is considered his passion as well. His main position is right wing, but he plays as both centre forward and left winger as well.
Highlighted Team (Norwich City):
After spending only one season in the Premier League, Norwich City dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 campaign. Norwich City are located in Norwich, Norfolk and they welcome their rivals at Carrow Road.
The stadium was built and opened in 1935 and the capacity of the venues is 27,137 (all-seater). However the stadium’s record attendance is 43,984. The Canaries have won two League Cup trophies (1973, 1975) and their main rivals are Ipswich Town. The two teams have been facing each other in the East Anglian Derby since 1902.
The colour of Norwich City’s home kit is yellow and green and that is the main reason why they are known as the Canaries. The likes of Kevin Keeland, Ian Culverhouse, Steve Bruce, Duncan Forbes, Mark Bowen, Darren Huckerby, Ian Crook, Martin Peters, Darren Eadier, Chris Sutton and Iwan Roberts are notable footballers who played for the Carrow Road outfit in the past.
