Our football match prediction:
Cardiff City will be looking to start a new winning run in the Championship when they welcome Ipswich Town at their Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Bluebirds head into the match following back-to-back draws against the likes of Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City and it remains to be seen if they are capable of putting an end to their four-match winless run in the league. A win over Ipswich Town could see them regain their spot in the top half of the standings, but it has to be noted that the Tractor Boys have yet to suffer a loss in March. Mick McCarthy’s troops shared the spoils with the likes of Brentford, Wolverhampton and Barnsley earlier this month and they are likely to rely on their rock-solid defence in Saturday’s game against Cardiff City. However, considering that the Bluebirds produced a fine display in the 1-1 draw with Birmingham, we predict that the hosts will pick up all three points from Saturday's football game.
Highlighted Player (Sol Bamba):
Souleymane “Sol” Bamba is an Ivory Coast international who plays for Leeds United in the Championship. The defender spent five years in PSG youth school (1999-2004) and he made no more than one league appearance for the first team. In July 2006 he signed for Scottish team Dunfermline and after spending two years at East End Park, he moved to fellow Scottish Premier League club Hibernian in 2008. Sol Bamba played as a centre back for the Hibs and he was producing brilliant performances with the Easter Road outfit. The Ivory Coast defender used to play for the likes of Leicester City, Trabzonspor and Palermo in the past as well and on 24 June, 2015 he signed a permanent deal with Leeds United. Bamba made his Ivory Coast debut in 2008 in a friendly game against Israel. Over the years he has established himself as Ivory Coast first-team regular, but he was surprisingly omitted from the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations Ivory Coast squad. Bamba is a 190-cm-tall centre back and he is well known for his aerial skills and brilliant tackles.
Highlighted Team (Ipswich Town):
Ipswich Town are an English football club that was formed in 1878. Portman Road has been the home ground of Ipswich Town since 1894 and the capacity of the venue, which was expanded in 2002, is 30,311. The Tractor Boys compete in the Championship, but they used to play in the English Premier League in the past as well. Ipswich Town last appeared in the elite division in the 2001/2002 season. Ipswich won the FA Cup in 1978, with the team beating Arsenal (1-0) in the title game. However, the club’s biggest success came in 1981 when they outplayed AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Cup final. It has to be noted that the Tractor Boys have yet to suffer a loss at home ground in the European competitions. Norwich City are regarded as Ipswich Town’s bitterest rivals and it is well known that the two sides take on each other in the East Anglian derby.
