Our prediction for this Championship match:
In-form Derby County will be aiming to extend their winning run in the Championship to four games when they host Norwich City at their iPro Stadium on Saturday evening. The Rams outplayed the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Wolverhampton and Rotherham United in previous three league fixtures and they are certainly brimming with confidence ahead of Saturday’s football match against Norwich City. Derby County are eager to move a little closer to the play-off places, but beating the Canaries is easier said than done. Norwich kicked off the new Championship campaign in style, but the team’s recent form is anything but good as they are on a four-game losing run in the English second tier ahead of the trip to Derby. One thing is for sure: both teams will go for a win in the iPro Stadium showdown and we predict that fans will see a lively contest this time out.
Highlighted Player (Craig Forsyth):
Craig Forsyth is a left back who is capable of playing as a midfielder as well. The Derby County footballer was born on 24 February, 1989 and he started his youth career at Carlogie Boys Club. Forsyth spent five years in Dundee (2006-2011), but it has to be noted that he played for Montrose and Arbroath (on loan) during his spell at Dens Park.
The Scottish footballer joined Watford in June, 2011 for an undisclosed fee and he did well to score on his debut against Burnley in the opening match of the 2011/2012 Championship campaign. He played 20 games for the Hornets in the 2011/2012 season, but on 19 October, 2012, he was sent on loan to Bradford City.
After ending his loan spell with Bradford, Forsyth signed a loan deal with Derby County on 4 March, 2013 and nine months later he penned a permanent teal with the Rams. The left back made 46 league appearances for Derby County in the 2013/2014 campaign, scoring two goals in the process.
Highlighted Team (Norwich City):
After spending only one season in the Premier League, Norwich City dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 campaign. Norwich City are located in Norwich, Norfolk and they welcome their rivals at Carrow Road.
The stadium was built and opened in 1935 and the capacity of the venues is 27,137 (all-seater). However the stadium’s record attendance is 43,984. The Canaries have won two League Cup trophies (1973, 1975) and their main rivals are Ipswich Town. The two teams have been facing each other in the East Anglian Derby since 1902.
The colour of Norwich City’s home kit is yellow and green and that is the main reason why they are known as the Canaries. The likes of Kevin Keeland, Ian Culverhouse, Steve Bruce, Duncan Forbes, Mark Bowen, Darren Huckerby, Ian Crook, Martin Peters, Darren Eadier, Chris Sutton and Iwan Roberts are notable footballers who played for the Carrow Road outfit in the past.
