Our prediction for this Championship match:
Huddersfield Town will be aiming to bounce back from a 1-0 loss to Middlesbrough when they host Blackburn Rovers at their John Smith’s Stadium. The Terriers continue with their habit of producing much better showings at home than on the travels, and the fact that they outplayed Nottingham Forest in their last home fixture is surely giving fans a reason for optimism.
The Riversiders, on the other hand, aim to move closer to the play-offs berth. Tony Mowbray’s men are undefeated in the last eight league fixtures, meaning that they are high on spirits ahead of Sunday’s festive fixture. Seeing that under 2.5 goals have been netted in each of their last five league fixtures, a low-scoring affair is on the cards. You should bear in mind that there have been under 2.5 goals in three of Huddersfield Town’s last four home games in the Championship.
