Our football match prediction:
Leeds United and Sheffield United, the two teams who sit in the play-offs berth in the Championship standings, face each other at Elland Road in what is expected to be a very entertaining clash. Leeds United did well to beat Bristol City (3-0) on the road in their last league match, with the team putting an end to their three-game losing run in the English second tier. The Whites are determined to return to the Premeir League, but they can’t afford such dips in form in the remainder of the season. Sheffield United, on the other hand, recorded four wins in previous five league fixtures and they are high on confidence ahead of the trip to West Yorkshire. Unlike previous years, the Blades have been producing fine performances on the road in the 2017/2018 Championship campaign and we predict that they will grab something from Friday’s football match against Leeds.
Highlighted Player (Vurnon Anita):
Vurnon Anita is yet another product of famous Ajax youth football academy. The defensive midfielder made a great progress during his spell with the Eredivisie outfit as he played for the first team from 2006 to 2012. During the 2011/2012 season Anita was on Newcastle United’s radar, but Ajax chiefs rejected Newcastle’s first bid for the player. Nonetheless, the two clubs eventually came to an agreement and the Dutch footballer moved to St. James’ Park in the summer of 2012. Vurnon Anita signed for the Magpies for a fee of £6.7 million and he made his Newcastle debut on August 18, 2012 in a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the opening game of the season. After making 133 appearances in the league for the Magpies, Anita joined Leeds United on July 6, 2017, signing a three-year deal with the Championship club. Vurnon Anita made his debut for Netherlands in a 2-1 win over Mexico in May, 2010. His main position is defensive midfield, but he can play as a full-back as well.

Highlighted Team (Sheffield United):

Sheffield United are a professional football club that compete in the Championship. The Blades finished the 2016/2017 League One campaign in top position in the standings, with the team collecting exactly 100 points in the process. Sheffield United last competed in the Premier League in the 2006/2007 season and they were more than unfortunate not to secure the top flight survival. The Blades finished the season in 18th place in the process and it has to be noted that they were level on points with Wigaan Athletic, who managed to avoid the relegation to the English second tier. Sheffield United welcome their rivals at Bramal Lane, the stadium which was opened on April 30, 1855. The current capacity of the venue is 32.702. The club have numerous rivalries, but the most notable one is the rivalry with their city neighbours Sheffield Wednesday. The two teams face each other in the Steel City derby and it has to be noted that United share rivalry with the likes of Barnsley, Rotherham United, Doncaster Rovers and Leeds United as well.
