Our prediction for this Championship match:
Middlesbrough and Wigan face each other at Riverside Stadium in what is expected to be one of the most entertaining games of Saturday’s program. Middlesbrough do not want to give up on their promotion dream and they are only two points behind league leaders Leeds United in the Championship standings ahead of the visit of Wigan. The Boro have been struggling at home ground of late, with the team failing to score in three of their previous four games at Riverside Stadium, but the fact that they defeated Premier League side Crystal Palace on home soil in the Carabao Cup is surely giving fans a reason for optimism. The Latics, on the other hand, aim to put an end to their three-game losing run in the Championship and we do not believe that they are capable of spoiling Middlesbrough’s party at Riverside Stadium.

Highlighted Player (Paddy McNair):

Following in the footsteps of his compatriot Jonny Evans, Paddy McNair joined the Manchester United academy in 2011 and he was surprisingly handed first team debut by Louis van Gaal at the start of the 2014/2015 season.
Despite his fragile age, the talented central defender has been putting in some very mature performances ever since, and everything suggests he could go on to become an important player at Old Trafford in years to come. After representing a number of youth sides, McNair made his first appearance for the Northern Ireland senior national team in a March 2015 friendly vs Scotland, before making another three outings as his side secured their place at the Euro 2016 finals.
Northern Ireland coach Michael O’Neill surprisingly played McNair in holding midfield in the March 2016 friendly vs Wales. After the youngster impressed in the middle of the park, O’Neill went on to suggest that the Manchester United starlet may be used in midfield rather than defence in years to come in the national team.
Highlighted Team (Wigan Athletic):

Wigan Athletic are one of the winners of the English FA Cup. The Latics won the prestigious trophy in 2013, with the team upsetting Manchester City in the title game. This is considered the club’s biggest success, but it has to be noted that Wigan played in the UEFA Europa League in the 2013/2014 season.
Wigan have been playing their home games at the DW Stadium since 1999 and they had played at Springfield Park in the past. Chorley are considered Wigan’s fierce rivals, but the two teams last met in 1971, when they competed in the Northern Premier League. The likes of Preston North End, Bury, Oldham Athletic, Burnley and Blackburn Rovers are regarded as Wigan Athletic’s rivals as well.
The club was founded in 1932 and they competed in the English Premier League from 2005 to 2013. The colour of Wigan’s home kit is blue and white (stripes).
