Our match prediction:
Against all odds, Newcastle United suffered two consecutive defeats to the likes of Fulham and Huddersfield Town at the start of the season. However, the Magpies proved their worth in a 4-1 win over Reading on Matchday 3 and thanks to Dwight Gale’s goal they managed to defeat Bristol City at the weekend. Rafa Benitez’s troops regained a much-needed confidence and a win over Brighton could see them climb to the play-offs berth in the Championship standings. Serbian attacker Aleksandar Mitrovic has served his ban and he is likely to play some part in Saturday’s football match against the Seagulls. Brighton sit in second place in the standings ahead of the trip to Newcastle, but seeing that they often struggle on the travels, we predict that the Magpies are going to record their third win of the season on day 5. When the two teams met in the FA Cup in 2013 Brighton recorded a 2-0 win over Newcastle, meaning that Rafa Benitez’s charges are hungry for revenge.
Highligted Player (Paul Dummet):
Paul Dummett is a product of Newcastle United’s youth school. His main position is left back, but he is capable of playing as a centre back as well. The defender was born on 26 September, 1991 and he played for the likes of Gateshead and St. Mirren on loan in the past. Dummett returned to Newcastle United in 2013 and he featured in 18 games for the Magpies in the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign. On the last day of the season. he made a hard tackle on Liverpool attacker Luis Suarez and, in turn received death threats from Uruguay fans on Twitter. The Newcastle United defender scored one goal in 23 appearances for the club in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign, but he did not help the St. James’ Park outfit avoid relegation to the Championship. Paul Dummett plays for Wales and he made his debut for the Dragons on June, 2014 against Netherlands. It has to be noted that Dummett won the Scottish League Cup with St. Mirren in the 2012/2013 season.
