Our football match prediction:
All eyes will be on St. James’ Park when Newcastle United take on Norwich City in what is expected to be the most entertaining clash of day 10. The Magpies failed to impress in previous two league matches, with the team losing to Wolverhampton at home, while sharing the spoils with Aston Villa on the road and, as a result, we are not tempted to put our money on Rafa Benitez’s charges this time out. Norwich City have been producing thrilling displays of late and we predict that the league leaders are going to extend their winning run in all competitions to six matches. Newcastle United chiefs sold a number of first-team regulars in the summer transfer window and, taking everything into account, the Canaries are likely to emerge triumphant in Wednesday’s football match at St. James’ Park. Newcastle United midfielder Anita misses the match through suspension.
Highligted Player (Jack Colback):
After spending nine years at Sunderland youth academy, Jack Colback signed a loan deal with Ipswich Town on 6 August, 2009. The left-footed midfielder, who is capable of playing at left back as well, made 37 appearances for the Championship side, scoring four goals in the English second tier. Against all odds, Colback decided to sign for Sunderland’s bitterest rivals Newcastle United on 9 June, 2014 and it has to be noted he became the first player to move directly from Sunderland to Newcastle since 1998 when Lionel Perez did the same. In 2015 Sunderland fans created a sick banner depicting Colback hanging with a noose around his neck and that caused uproar on social media. Colback and his teammates from Newcastle dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 season, but he decided not to leave the club. Colback scored 5 goals in 64 appearances for Newcastle United in the Premier League. He is well known for his passing skills, he rarely gives the ball away and journalist often compare him with Italy ace Andrea Pirlo.
Highlighted Team (Norwich City):
After spending only one season in the Premier League, Norwich City dropped to the Championship at the end of the 2015/2016 campaign. Norwich City are located in Norwich, Norfolk and they welcome their rivals at Carrow Road. The stadium was built and opened in 1935 and the capacity of the venues is 27,137 (all-seater). However the stadium’s record attendance is 43,984. The Canaries have won two League Cup trophies (1973, 1975) and their main rivals are Ipswich Town. The two teams have been facing each other in the East Anglian Derby since 1902. The colour of Norwich City’s home kit is yellow and green and that is the main reason why they are known as the Canaries. The likes of Kevin Keeland, Ian Culverhouse, Steve Bruce, Duncan Forbes, Mark Bowen, Darren Huckerby, Ian Crook, Martin Peters, Darren Eadier, Chris Sutton and Iwan Roberts are notable footballers who played for the Carrow Road outfit in the past.
