Our football match prediction:
Norwich City and Sunderland, the two teams who were part of the Premier League a couple of seasons ago, face each other at Carrow Road on day 2 of the 2017/2018 Championship campaign. The Canaries kicked off the new season with a 1-1 draw against Fulham, with Nelson Oliveira scoring the equalizer in the dying minutes of the game. The Portuguese attacker came as a substitute and proved his worth in the opening match of the season and we predict that he is going to lead the attack for Norwich City against Sunderland. The Black Cats, on the other hand, shared the spoils with Derby County in their opener, but they could have picked up all three points from the game. Both Norwich and Sunderland are likely to go for a win in Sunday’s football match and that we would not be surprised if fans see a high-scoring affair at Carrow Road.
Highlighted Player (Yanic Wildschut):
Yanic-Sonny Wildschut is a Dutch football player who was born in Amsterdam on 1 November, 1991. He was part of Ajax academy during his youth career and he made his senior debut for Zwolle in the Jupiler League. After playing 33 matches for Zwolle, the pacey winger joined VVV-Venlo on 29 June, 2011 and in 2013 he moved to Heerenveen. He was soon sent on loan to ADO Den Haag and after making seven appearances for the club, he joined English side Middlesbrough on 1 September, 2014. Wildschut scored his first goal for the Boro in a 3-0 victory over Rotherham on 1 November, 2014. However, he played just 12 games for Middlesbrough in the Championship. On 2 October, 2015 he was sent on loan to Wigan Athletic and three months later he signed a permanent deal with the Latics. You should have in mind that Yanic has 10 caps for Netherlands U21 team. Wildschut is a winger, but he is capable of playing as a centre forward as well.
Highlighted Team (Sunderland):
Sunderland are a professional football club that have been playing their home games at the Stadium of Light since 1997. The capacity of the stadium is 49,000, but before expansion the original ground capacity was 42,000. Red and White shirts are Sunderland’s trademark and the club’s fiercest rivals are Newcastle United. The two local rivals have been contesting in the Tyne-Wear derby since 1898 and there have always been fireworks in what is one of the greatest derbies in English football. Sunderland were on the verge of dropping to the Championship in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign, but experienced tactician Sam Allardyce eventually helped the team avoid relegation. The Black Cats have won six First Division trophies (now the Premier League), with the team lifting two FA Cup titles. Sudnerland won their first FA Cup trophy in 1937, with the team beating Prestson North End 3-1 in the title game. The club was founded in 1879 as Sunderland and District Teachers A.F.C.
