Our prediction for this Championship match:
Thanks to a 2-0 win at Hull City, Nottingham Forest managed to put an end to their five-game winless run in the Championship. The Boxing Day victory gave the team a confidence boost, but that did not help them regain their spot in the top six in the standings. The Reds aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration, and they are seen as hot favourites to win Sunday’s football match against Wigan.
The Latics, on the other hand, are stuck at the bottom of the Championship table, with the team collecting only 20 from possible 72 points. The DW Stadium outfit were on the verge of beating Derby County on Boxing Day, but the Rams eventually scored the equalizing goal in the stoppage time. Anyhow, given Wigan’s poor away record in the English second tier, home win should be considered.
