Our football match prediction:
Derby County will be looking to build on a 2-0 win over Cardiff City when they square off against Reading at Madejski Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Rams returned to winning ways, but they are still sitting in the danger zone in the Championship standings. Saturday’s football game against the Royals is of big importance for Derby as they are eager to rejoin the race for a place in the Championship play-offs. The Rams are likely to adopt an attack-minded approach in the Madejski Stadium clash and we predict that the visitors are going to find the net on Matchday 11. Reading suffered a heavy 4-1 loss to Brentford at Griffin Park on Tuesday evening and seeing that the Royals are desperate to return to winning ways, both teams to score bet appears on the cards. In their last meeting in the Championship the two teams played out a 1-1 draw.
Highlighted Player (Jordan Obita):
Jordan Obita is a left-back who plays for Reading in the Championship. Obita is capable of playing as a winger as well and he is a left-footed player. He was born in Oxford and, as expected, he had trials with his home-town club, but he eventually signed a deal with Reading. He joined the Reading youth academy at age of 8 and he made his senior debut for the Royals on 11 August, 2010. He came from the bench in the League Cup clash against Torquay United and he made his first start against Charlton Athletic in the same competition in the 2011/2012 season. Obita spent several years on loan at Barnet, Gillingham, Portsmouth and Oldham Athletic, but he is still a Reading player. He has a contract with the Madejski Stadium outfit until 30 June. 2018. Jordan Obita has two caps for England U20 and he played for the U18 an U19 teams in the past as well. The Reading left-back was named the Player of the Season for the 2013/2014 Championship campaign.
Highlighted Team (Derby County):
Derby County are one of the 12 founder members of the Football League. However, nowadays the Rams compete in the Championship and they play their home matches at Pride Park Stadium. Derby County have won the two trophies in the English top flight (1971/1972, 1974/1975), with the team lifting the FA Cup trophy just after the World War II (1946). Derby’s main rivals are Nottingham Forest, Leicester City and Leeds United, but the rivalry between Forest and Derby is regarded as the biggest one. The two teams take on each other in the East Midlands derby. The colour of Derby’s shirts is white, whilst their shorts are black. It has to be noted that the club was founded in 1884 by William Morley. The Rams competed in the European competitions four times, but they did not record a notable result in the European Cups. The club’s chairman is Mel Morris.
