Our football match prediction:
Madejski Stadium will host Friday’s football game between Reading and Fulham. Both teams are eyeing a place in the Championship play-offs, meaning that fans could see a real football festival on Matchday 24. The Royals head into the game following a 3-1 win over Norwich City and it has to be noted that the team scored six goals in previous two league fixtures. Reading aim to melt Newcastle’s advantage to three points and we predict that the hosts will fight tooth and nail against Fulham. The Cottagers did well to beat Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Monday, but they have yet to regain their spot in top six. The capital club are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against Reading and we would not be surprised if both teams find the net in the Madejski Stadium clash. In previous three meetings between the two sides in the Championship no less than 15 goals were scored.
Highlighted Player (Chris Gunter):
After spending one and a half season at Cardiff City, Chris Gunter signed a deal with Tottenham Hotspur on 1 January, 2008. However, he did not play an important role in the team during the second half of the 2007/2008 Premier League campaign, making just two league appearances for the White Hart Lane outfit. Seeing that he was not considered first-team regular in the 2008/2009 season as well, Gunter decided to join Nottingham Forest on Loan in March, 2009. Four months later he signed a permanent deal with the Reds and he stayed at the club until July 2012, when he completed a move to Reading. The Wales international signed a three-year deal with the Royals and he quickly established himself as a first-team regular. It has to be noted that he made 44 league appearances for the club in the 2015/2016 Championship campaign. Chris Gunter was born in Newport, Wales on 21 July, 1989 and he made his debut for the Welsh national team in a friendly match against New Zealand on 26 May, 2007, while helping the Dragons reach the Euro 2016 semis in France.
Highlighted Team (Fulham):
Fulham are a club from London that play in the Championship. The capital club dropped to the English second tier at the end of the 2013/2014 Premier League campaign after failing to impress in the elite competition. Fulham were founded in 1879 and they play their home matches at Craven Cottage. Fulham are the oldest-established club from the English capital to have played in the top flight. Fulham finished the 2008/2009 Premier League campaign in seventh place in the standings and that is considered the team’s biggest success, speaking of their participation in the Premier League. The Cottagers played in the Europa League twice and they did well to reach the FA Cup final in 1975, but they were beaten by their local rivals West Ham United in the title game (0-2). Chelsea are regarded as Fulham’s bitter rivals as well and the two teams take on each other in the North London derby.
