Our prediction for this Championship match:
Rotherham United and Reading face each other in the relegation six-pointer at AESSEAL New York Stadium on day 22 of the new Championship campaign. The Millers are on a five-game winless run in the English second tier, with the team conceding nine goals in total in previous four league fixtures. Rotherham United, though, are tough to beat at home and the fact that they have suffered only one loss on home soil this term is surely giving fans a reason for optimism ahead of the visit of Reading. The Royals, on the other hand, sit in the relegation zone in the Championship standings ahead of Matchday 22 and they head into the clash following a 2-0 home loss to Sheffield United. As previously mentioned, the Millers play well in front of home fans and we believe that the time has come for Paul Warne’s troops to return to winning ways.

The Royals used to play their home games at Elm Park in the past (1896 - 1998). Aldershot Town were considered Reading’s fiercest rivals, but the Shots went out of business in 1992.
Seeing that Aldershot rejoined the league in 2008 it remains to be seen if the rivalry is going to be re-established in near future. Swindon Town and Oxford United are considered Reading’s big rivals as well.
